In a medium where transgenders are normally projected in a demeaning way, debutant director Vijay Padma's bold and honest attempt to show them in proper perspective should be applauded.
Produced by Punnagai Poove Geetha, it conveys a larger message that the third sex also has a heart and every right to lead a decent life.
Kalki Subramanian, a real-life transgender (who got the honour of first Asian transgender activist who took part at the international visitor's programme in the US) plays the lead.
