Hello everyone! I'm a 49 y/o bi/genderqueer mostly cismale (in presentation) admirer of transwomen. I encountered my first transitioning MTF at an NYC apartment (Madison Av., around the corner from The Sex Museum, of course!) where I was a security guard, and she was the first TG for whom I would be jealous and heartbroken. My first real physical "encounter" was with a visiting Hollywood doctor (Mom would be SO proud! "Well we're movin' on up!"). It was at a Times Square hotel. I also friended a Goth-metal drummer from Brooklyn. I visited her day job at a Village costume shop, and I was impressed how she described every piece of her drum kit from the wing nuts on her cymbals to the spring on her hi-hat pedal without once using the term "thingie". Her girlfriend and vampire hours kiboshed that otherwise marriage-made-in-heaven.
I joined Facebook in 2007 after I moved to Atlanta, and my first friend was an adorable TG diametrically located in Victoria, BC (REAL love is long-distance). We've had a rough patch over the last 7 months from her bad decisions, and she's unfriended me--it hurts. I have yet another good TGF in Northern CA who has recently decided to go local, but we are still in contact. These two are both recently post-op, and that leads to a question: Did your taste in men and relationships change dramatically after your full SRS? I've really been researching this issue lately.
To answer the question I have begged, no, there is no-one local for me despite 3 years of friending. I actually reside near a popular TG webmistress, but she's ignored all my attempts to form any closer attachment. I may be leaving the country soon.
Professionally I'm an Orchestra Affairs Execitive/Lead Singer/Bass Guitarist for the #1 Google page ranked Song For All Seasons (www.groups.yahoo.com/group/songforallseasons (http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/songforallseasons) or search "songforallseasons"). Personally I'm a Carthaginian/Cherokee double Skorpion/Moon-in-Taurus/Venus-in-Scorpio };). I'm sex-positive, polyamorous, pagan/libertine into reading, social networking, astrology, and fitness (yes I'm buff!).
Be it a person or type of people, you do not love them until you allow them to break your heart. Yes, allow.

Hi Vallin, :icon_wave:
Welcome to our little family. Over 6800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member. :icon_hug:
And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )
I will pre-warn you that most of us don't care for Trans-Admirers. Too many bad experiences for most. Be a good boy and follow the rules. Be respectful and we will get along fine. And most of all, we are a support site, not a hook up/sex site.
Hugs,
Janet
