Title: Does anyone have trans nightmares?

I keep having trans-related nightmares, and they make me wake up feeling like ->-bleeped-<-. Last night, I had a dream that I had top surgery and it messed up and it still looked like I had boobs. I've also had dreams about being pregnant and one where my hair grew long and I couldn't cut it.
Does anyone else have nightmares like those? I've been getting them more frequently and they're really frustrating. I usually sleep a lot when I get really depressed/dysphoric, so I guess it doesn't help that I'm having these dreams a lot.

Before I bought my first binder, I had like three dreams where I got a binder and it didn't flatten me at all and it was still evident that I had boobs. It sucked :( So, you're not alone

I've had a few, most of them are just odd but some are horrible. I had one not long ago where I was going in to have top surgery but the surgeon gave me breast implants instead, that freaked me out quite a bit. The worst dreams are where i'm pregnant, it's one of my biggest fears. They don't happen often though.

I had an absolutely horrifying nightmare once, beware, TRIGGER WARNINGS!!!
The nightmare was that I was at a fancy party held at a public swimming pool area (indoors). I was dressed in a suit, looked good, felt good, everyone regarded me as male (even my family). However, some old men eyed me suspiciously and pulled me into the room with the actual pool in it (the party was held in the room next to it). There, they forcibly stripped me and took turns sexually abusing me (in this dream I was a trans guy, so I had "female parts" which they abused), they had put a rag in my mouth so I couldn't scream, and told me that if I told anyone about this they'd drown me in the pool. After they were done, they walked somewhere else, so I took my clothes and went back to the party, but was too afraid to tell anyone about what had happened.

Yeah, I get these, especially the hair one :-\ It frustrated me so much that I also made I thread about the dreams and found that a lot of others here get them too
weird eh?

I have a couple of nightmares that I've had more than once, one where I get my hair cut and it grows down to my shoulders overnight, and one where I go to a store to try on guy's clothes and the salesclerk keeps using female pronouns.
They aren't really horrifying in any way, just annoying. The haircut ones are real enough though that I have to check myself in the mirror when I wake up.

Oddly I've had 2 nightmares lately too. I'd rather not talk about them but they were very bad. Normally I have positive trans-related dreams though. More than anything I have dreams where I was born with a male body. I've always had natural male-bodied dreams but lately I've had more and more.
But, you're not alone in having trans-related nightmares. Mine can range from annoying and weird to terrifying.

Yes. More of a bad dream, nothing horrifying but I was scared.
It had to do with the gear that most use everyday, getting lost :/

I don't usually have nightmares that are obviously related to being trans, but usually when i think about them i realize they're related to dysphoria. sometimes i dream that i look like a boy, but everyone else sees a girl, and they think i'm crazy when i point out that my body is a boy's body.
when i was thirteen though, i had a horrible nightmare that stuck with me. I was riding a bike and i ended up in hell basically. i don't think i knew how i got there, but i was riding through a dark grey/ black area with sort of a path ahead of me. on either side there were horrible demons doing horrible things, and though they never pulled me in, i didn't know if they would. i kept riding my bike, and there were sort of ramps, and i kept trying to ride real fast up them so i could get up out of where i was, but i just kept doing a back flip on my bike, never quite making it out, and riding down the path until i reached the next one. my brother was above, and he was trying to help me out when i was flying off the ramps, but he couldn't reach me. so, i just kept cycling through hell. looking back on it, i'm pretty sure it was about menstruation and puberty in general.
other than that, i just have generic tornado, sometimes monsoon, dreams a lot. they seem to be my default nightmare.

I rarely remember my dreams for a long period, whether they be bad or good. But I do indeed recall having a really horrid dream back when I was in sixth grade, since back then I'd always be on the playground playing football, and they all decided to be shirts versus skins, and I was on the skin team, and in dreams I always have had a male body, but when I took of my shirt to play, moobs were there. I remember being depressed for days about that dream. So yeah, I've had one, well, one that I can remember at least.

Yeah I've had the horrible hair growing dreams, pregnancy dreams, and even one wear I found myself in a dress and was traumatized by it when I woke up. But I don't get nightmares anymore, oddly enough. I found these really only occurred pre-T though, seriously nothing but good dreams since then. One awkward dream though where I was shirtless...but I was flat. Also I now tend to appear exactly how I would like to look in real life in my dreams, its when I wake up that I find myself in a nightmare. :| I however usually cannot remember my dreams anymore, but all the ones I do are nice. Perhaps you need to find more peace in your waking life, rid yourself of stress.

I've had a few lately. My hair is long again and is getting snagged on everything, I'm in my old clothes and can't take them off because they're too tight, and TMI WARNING I start bleeding and dropping bloody chunks of flesh everywhere.

In some dreams I've had lately my mother follows me around everywhere I go and vehemently insists that I'm female, but that happens a lot in real life anyway, so they're not really nightmares. Just unpleasant.

I haven't had any trans related nightmares really, more like anxiety dreams. I have this recurring theme of my mom pointing out all the "fake" elements of my body, what is wrong, what is female. "where's your boobs? Why are you binding, I know you have boobs, Milly." "What's that bulge? You don't have a penis, that's a packer, why do you wear that stupid thing?" Those kinds of things. Nothing traumatic, just dysphoric and repetitive. Sometimes my dad is there too, calling me a stupid, selfish little girl...that's a fun one, because that's what he told me pretty frequently growing up :-\ It's a phrase I still bash myself with sometimes, because it combines my insecurities about my intelligence, an insult to my youth, fears of my identity and resulting struggle with depression being self-centered and hurtful to others, as well as denying my male identity. Admit it, that's pretty efficient, I'll give him that.
But yeah...mostly just upsetting dreams like that, most of my bad nightmares are non-trans related.

I'm never reading something like this again.
I had a nightmare (well it started that way) after reading this and then falling asleep. At least the dream had the decency to end good.

I had one where I went into the boys showers at the school I teach at (which definitely does not have showers) and I passed perfectly. I was showering with the boys, feeling good, and no one suspected a thing. Then the principal (a woman) walked in and caught me in there and I got in a lot of trouble. It sucked.

One night I dreamt that a prerequisite for SRS was that both of my hands had to be amputated. I was wondering how they'd work after they would be reattached. I woke just as I realized my hands were NOT GOING TO BE REATTACHED.

Most of my trans dreams are neutral or positive, but some are unpleasant. When I was younger I used to dream I was out in public and had forgotten my shirt, and I've dreamed I was pregnant too. This was before I knew anything about trans stuff. The worst one I had was more recent. Possible trigger warning?
Not going into detail, it involved a random stranger telling me I wasn't a real man, and then attacking me with a knife.

I actually had one last night. It was absolutely crazy because I rarely have dreams that distress me anymore.
I was on a trip with a bunch of people and suddenly I received a package. Apparently I had ordered the new reel magik prosthetic. It was great and fit my body really well. But then my mom came and told me I had to go back to school (university) for a Masters degree. I had no money to go back and I was extremely stressed. I had spent all my savings on the prosthetic and surgery, so there was no way for me to move or pay tuition.
By the time I woke up, I had been disowned and homeless. I know it's not real, but money really upsets me. Especially fresh out of college, just paid the money for top surgery, and thinking about getting a prosthetic. :(

last night i had a horrible trans nightmare. i went to sleep fighting with my ex about me supposedly being too young to know that i'm really trans (downside to dating a person 15 yrs older than yourself; if they don't like something, they can always say you just haven't lived enough to understand >:( ) anyway, it was terrible.
i was walking around Atlanta near the college i attend, but it looked different- more futuristic and industrial, far more foreboding, and perpetually night time. it was also a lot more dangerous, and i knew people there might very well kill me. i don't remember why, i think i was shunned or something, but i had to walk to this place that i think was far far north- maybe Siberia. Anyway, i had snow shoes, but i barely made it, and i wasn't even sure where i was going.
fortunately, i came across a small cottage, and the people fortunately let me in. it was pretty cozy in there, but i still was real sick from travelling so far, and scared. the people there couldn't do much to help me, and at first i thought they didn't care. i was really upset because of course my cell phone didn't get any reception, and i couldn't contact anyone. i knew i had to walk back to Atlanta, and i thought they were going to tell me that i had to walk back that night when it was dark ( it had changed from night to dusk when i was walking there, but it was really foggy and snowy so i couldn't see much anyway.)
so i was hanging out there and they helped warm up and gave me some food, and fortunately, it became obvious that no one expected me to walk back when it was still dark. they didn't have a phone, and it was miles to the nearest cottage, even though it was part of a town. they had a telegraph though, and they contacted someone to see if they could help, but i didn't get the details about that. i was hanging out with the people by the fire, and a girl i knew from college dropped in and said hi- that's the weirdest part, i have no idea why she was there. then the guy i was playing a board game with turned into the one other guy from my trans support group, and he was nice and everything. the next morning i set out for atlanta with my snow shoes, and it was treacherous, but i made it back to Atlanta.... where everyone was trying to kill me again. it really sucked.

I have dreams that may be classified as good dreams, but I think of them as nightmares because waking up feels like hell.
Ive had dreams where I was masturbating and had a regular penis, ive had multiple dreams where I had had top surgery.. those are nightmares for me, because it makes living feel more miserable.
