Title: Bye, Retirement etc
Post by: Cindy on June 02, 2011, 05:34:53 AM
Hi,

I've been thinking about this for a while. The People who run Susan's put a lot of effort into it. It is time consuming and difficult. There are argumentative comments about stuff that is  usually basic common sense and courtesy. I was going to post about the type of threads that really give me a stomach upset. But I wont.

I think I have had enough of the rude, people.   I'm sick of the I'm more TG than you.  I'm tired of the lack of leadership. I'm leaving.

I totally love the people I have worked with and you have  my pm. I totally love the people I have helped.  But it is time for me to move on.

Good bye and may your life work well

Cindy James

I hope you stay, but I'll miss you if you do leave. Every group has some rude people, that's just life. Hugs, Tracey

Hi Cindy

Do what makes you happy but know I've always appreciated your contributions. You're one of the people around here that makes a lot of sense, so thank you.

BTW you do know that means there'll be one less active Australian here, and we need all the help we can get. We're underrepresented!

CIndy,

I wish you would stay but I understand if you go.  I will miss you, Hon.  You are always supportive and intelligence.  But things in live can take over.  I know this.

Keep your account and just retire.  Then you can pop in and say how life is going.

Damn, I miss you already.  :'(

Hi Cindy

I wish you all the best in your travels and the one and only thing I have left to say is, "remember to push the button", when someone rings you.  Take care and all the best for the future.

Love and hugs always

Heck, I just ignore the rude or idiotic, still I can't help but know its there and it does upset me sometimes. But that's the case everywhere, I used to frequent Gamefaqs all the time years ago for many years, mostly the NES board, but things there went on a big decline, too much immaturity, too many new to the whole 8-bit gaming thing jumping on it like a fad, but then also a lot of old timers to it acting like elitist which probably upset me even more, just the whole board had a whole change of attitude but it was a gradual thing, as well as the same ol' topics over and over again, whereas it used to be one of the better sections on that site many years ago, one day I just decided enough, just didn't go back. I've never belonged to but a couple forums over the years, tested some out, didn't like or get into them, but the ones I do like I stick around on for years, I'm hoping that this place be one of those, if I can ignore the ignorance of the few and be able to enjoy the company of the many other wonderful people here than I most certain will stay around for a long while. As it stands, this place and one other are the only places I visit where I share in my experiences or the things that I enjoy. I like you, pretty much the case with all of the older people here, you got a lot of wisdom to share and are a nice person from what I have read of your posts, would be a shame to see you go, sometimes when around the same company for too long it can get a bit stifling, maybe you just need a breather, step away for a bit, get some fresh air, then come back when you are ready.

Well Crap,

I go to the bathroom and everybody leaves! Sorry to hear this-your point of view has always been one of the things about Susan's I enjoyed most. I sincerely hope to see you here again. I wish only the best for you and yours and in the words of the late comedien Red Skelton-'and may God bless'!

I usually don't quote an entire OP.. But in this case I have.. It will be sad to see you go, Cindy, but to be honest, I'm surprised you've lasted this long. I got sick of the rudeness and sniping a while back and as such, stopped posting prettty much.. I do still lurk and read a bit, but I don't post much anymore..

Your departure will leave a hole around here that will be hard to fill.. I'm lucky enought that we may well run in to each other arounf town sometime..

I'll miss your smarts (and your outfits!), I hope you lurk rather than just disappear - but it's good for us to have to take more collective responsibility for our communication, and not just rely on you mods to parent us xxx
