President Obama has declared June to be national Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month in the USA.
In a White House press release that highlights his administration's achievements in terms of gay rights, the President states: "Each June, we commemorate the courageous individuals who have fought for LGBT Americans, and we rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity."
