Has anyone used the Shake Weight advertised on TV? Opinions?
south park shake weight (both parts) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qaeZI9JSgQ#)
i take it tekla is trying to say it's a rip off? i wouldn't doubt it. i've used some stuff advertised on tv. i've tried smooth away before, and that was about 20% percent effective.
About as effective as hugging your washing machine.
Yeah, it looks dumb.

I dont watch tv, what is shake weight?
Shake as in shaking your body or protein shakes?
Shake Weight Commercial #2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVogg_0Hhus#)
I returned it. There is not near as much movement in it as appears on TV.
My sister and I were looking at one at the store and a guy walked pass us saying "don't buy it" so I assume that he has one and it didn't work out for him.
We had some at our gym, junk, junk and junk. All that stuff is junk, until you makeup your mind to change your lifestyle nothing will work. Once you figure it out just start walking cardio is the key!!!!!!!
Must resist referencing Shake Weight puns...must resist...
If the shake weight concept worked, why don't men look like fiddler crabs? (One arm bigger than the other?)
It's good for a laugh and suggestive videos...(hence the South Park episode), but for fitness? I'd think a simpler (and cheaper) 10 lbs weight would work.
Lawl I already have a Shake Weight..
IN MAH PANTS.

*in her best George Takei voice* Oh, myyyy.
Similar to the other posts. The reviews I've heard for most of the exercise stuff advertised on TV isn't worth it. You get a better workout for free using free weights (arms & chest), crunches, stability ball etc.
Personally, I've been reading Shape magazine, Health magazine etc. to get ideas for toning and core exercises at home.
i don't use weights anyway, because they seem macho to me :icon_eek:

it's just a personal thing. i don't judge anyone else for doing it.
I just have to hold my dog just under his front legs and he's way more movement than shake weight.

Totally agree with cyndi, the only way to lose weight is the old fashion way of changing your diet, lifestyle and finding a activity that suits you the weight will come off slowly as long as you can follow your daily routine day and there are supportive people around you..

Update: They had a used one had a sports shop so I tried it and I couldn't even notice the shaking. I felt NOTHING!
