Title: Charing Cross Question (UK Girls)
Post by: JaimeJJ on July 02, 2011, 06:15:52 AM
When you inform CX that you are living and working full time, do they correspond with the work place in any way? Or is a wageslip proof enough that you are working as a female full time?

I don't think they ever ask to see proof of wage slips etc or correspond with your work place. At least they didn't when I attended there.

The doctor I saw didn't care to see anything I had taken along with me. Not at my first appointment at least. My second appointment is five months off still, but I think that's when they will have more interest.

'Scuse me chipping in here, but - I'm not at CX, but when asked for proof that you're living full-time, it usually includes a letter from the employer to confirm you're working in role. That's what I was asked for at Leeds GIC, and I gather Sheffield's more strict, so I wouldn't be surprised if CX asked that of you too.

They'll most likely also want to see your deed poll/statutory declaration and changed ID (driver's license, bank statement, etc).

Yes, they did ask to see those documents when I attended. This was back in early 2004 and I was happy to show them all my documentation.

That would be quite worrying, especially if you are Stealth and seen and employed as a female rather than employed as a transsexual. You could loose a job over it if they were to correspond with your employer. So I don't think they would.

They wouldn't correspond directly with the employer, it's up to you to get the relevant proof. A way round it if you're stealth is to ask them for a general reference letter confirming how long you've worked there. I found a good website about this in fact, but it eludes me ATM :-\
