Title: Susan, I'm baaaaack
Post by: BeverlyAnn on February 09, 2007, 10:53:28 AM
Hi everyone.  I guess I should introduce myself since probably most everyone here is new since the last time I was on the forums.  I'm Beverly Ann and I was a long time member and moderator here.  I'm a married  CD with a supportive spouse, one child and two grandchildren.  I was one of the first openly TG people ordained as an Elder in the Greater Atlanta Presbytery and for a number of years, a staff member of Southern Comfort Conference.  I am retired from an airline and most recently, caregiver for an elderly parent.

Hi Bri.  Believe me, there are many Presbyterian churches around that would love to disown my church also.  We have the distinction of being the church that ignores the rules and ordains who we want.  As an FYI, for many years, until she moved to another church closer to her home, one of the ministers associated with our church was post-op.  Also, when she visits Atlanta, we have a girl (CD) as a guest organist.  So yes, some of us ARE loving.  But then this is a discussion for another board.    ;)

WB Bev.

Lots o changes around here.  And I was here then as I am now but in one move or the other the original username fell by the wayside and this one that I picked (and liked better) stuck on me pretty well.   And no, I do not remember exactly the previous name but it was one not well kept and in not being kept was lost.

Thanks LIT.  I still keep in touch with a few of the old gang.  I just spoke with Brenda on the phone a few minutes ago, sent Lisbeth an e-mail, got an e-mail the other day from Suzanne (The Arctic Fox herself), from what Brenda tells me, Jamie and Jennifer VG are still happily a couple and I still get an occasional e-mail from, of all people, Elivra.

Hugs.

Although I have only been here about a year and a half, so don't know you from before I'm glad you came back.

Hey, welcome back, Bev.  You look good.  The secret to my eternal youth is to use a five-year old photo for my avatar.  >:D

Hi Bev

Céad míle fáilte . Great to hear from you again. :)

Since I have been back I had often thought of Lisbeth, her gentle wisdom  and the depth or her spirituality. I also wondered often about Jamie (que j'aime) Lauren  and Jennifer VG as well as the rest of the Marie Galante's motley crew. And Yes I have to admit it... I sometime enjoy getting the occasional ranting or provocating e-mail from the Princess of Darkness. How is the Arctic Fox coping with global warming?

Who knows? more might follow us back here and Susan's past will come to haunt her again.

There I have shown my age too, but I swear the pic is only from my 56th birthday last year. It is amazing what well applied make-up, proper hair colour and a set of good dentures can do for a girl!*  ;)

* Not forgetting a few drops of the "Creature" taken on a regular basis.  Slanté :icon_drunk:

Laughter, Love & Respect

Maebh

PS. Great legs and shapes. You must have your own secret access to Tir na nOg too.  :P

Louise, wonderful to know your still here and yeah, my pic isn't the newest of me either.  I find that since I no longer work midnight shift at Delta and have been living a more sedentary lifestyle caring for mom, of all things my clothes have been shrinking.  I know what you mean about the bruises.  I seem to remember that I got most of mine getting in the middle and trying to put out the fires of whatever current flame war the Princess of Darkness was involved in.

Maebh,
OMG I had forgotten about the crew of the Marie Galante!!!!  Let's see, what was my position in the crew?  Oh that's right, I wasn't crew...Miss Kitty ran the saloon ashore and watered down the whiskey to keep you lot in line!!!!!  ROFLMHO

Lisbeth has been full time for 5 years now and started HRT about 1 1/2 years ago.  She's going back to school to study psychology with the aim of becoming a therapist.

Jamie Lauren and Jennifer VG are still living in the Lone Star State.  Brenda can give you more of an update if you want...e-mail me and I'll give you her e-mail addy.

As for the Arctic Fox, I think age is catching up with her or global warming is not going fast enough.  She wants to give up her winter snowplow business and find somewhere warm to spend the winter.

I don't know about having my own secret access to Tir na nOg.  Is that anythin like thuh Gawjuh shine us'uns brew in old car radiaters round heah?

Y'all take care now, your hear.

Bev

Don't be so modest. you have it, you can flaunt it.

Jamie should be able to refresh our memories. I wonder if " The Quest for the Veiled Queen"  is still accessible. Ah we were young then, so full of mischief and innocence.

QuoteLisbeth has been full time for 5 years now and started HRT about 1 1/2 years ago.  She's going back to school to study psychology with the aim of becoming a therapist.

I'm sure she'll make a brillant one.

Go raibh maith agat. Txs

I can understand and sympatise. Me old bones too are becoming very sensitive to the cold and the dampness. Corsica's Mediterranean shores are calling me back.

Tir na nOg, the land of youth (or Fontaine de Jouvence as the Acadians would call it) is where Niamh came from and where she brought back and wed the poet Oisin son of Sadhbh and Finn mac Cool. Thuh Gawjuh shine sound very much like our Poitin or "Creature".

You take good care too. Right. Slanté.
