Can using an ace bandage to binde eventually mess up your back?

Yeah, any binding can mess up your back. Do it as loosely as you can and give yourself breaks from it.

And don't sleep in it, even if you're too tired to move. My back doesn't hurt from it, but I only do it when necessary. Aka: leaving my apt, which fortunately, is not as often as some people.

yeeess my chiropractor and I are on a first name basis from all the binding I do. :D I'm always getting ribs out of place and I have two vertibrae that are constantly shifting out of place too from the compression.

I've stopped binding as much at night now; I just wear a sports bra to bed or nothing if it's been a really bad back day.

Do the binder shirts do the damage to your ribs and stuff too?

They can- it depends on how tight they are and how much you wear them. The actual binders (like underworks and stuff) are less likely to do damage to your actual ribcage then say ace bandages, though, because the pressure is more spread out.
