I was basically hired at two jobs, McDonalds and Meijers *a grocery store*, but Meijers hasn't exactly said "come on in this date" they are doing a background check which I am sure I passed and then I go to work. I have a driving ticket on that.... so McDonalds told me I am hired and I can start work tomorrow.
I think I am going to go work to McDonalds for a few days and then quit when Meijers has hired me completely, since I really do not know if I was hired in yet, it's just I am 90% sure. Do you think this is a wise move? I am now kind of paranoid about my social security record being a bit ruined because it would show I worked at McDonalds for 2 days I think?
Hmm, anyways that's it, what do you guys think?
Right on :) I hope one or maybe even both work out for you... Are they both full time? Or can you work part time at one or both?
Part-time both, about the same hrs I guess, but I won't be able to work at both lol. I am doing college this fall, and that would be crazy.
I just like Meijers since they would cooperate with my hrs.

I bet two days at McDees is double what about 30% of their ex -'employees' have.
I hear all the time that it's alright to use a lowest-end job to be ready if a higher end job doesn't come, and then to leave when it does come...I just really think that a two (or at least one) week notice would be pretty courteous. Good luck on the grocery store ^^

I couldn't help but laugh at this, because it is the exact truth for a few people I know.
To the OP, probably not a good idea on your resume, but truth be told, if you just left it off your resume no one would probably care.

Well grocery store isn't the better one, money wise. Just seemed better, but McDonald looks pretty cool to be honest, I went to orientation and they seemed nice.

even with the electonic checks done to prove ability to work, it is not as though there is a repository of every job someone ever worked. And as Eddie Gosling is noted as saying in part of his act (usually around the 'glitter' bit)...it isn't like Burger King talks to Wendys.
