The vast majority of transgender male crossdressers like being men. Unlike men and women born transsexual, they do not feel they are women misborn in a male body.
Most transgender males have no desire to become female by taking hormones or having surgery to remove their male genitals. Some do experiment and go part way; most of them do a U-turn.
Male crossdressing goes back a long way, but men who crossdress are not mentally ill. The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has determined that crossdressing falls within the normal range of male sexuality (as it does not become a compulsive obsession). Most men who crossdress describe it as an outlet for stress. But simply because crossdressing men have the APA's seal of approval does not mean that transgendered males who switch back and forth between male mode and female mode should receive an automatic get out of jail card.
I think I missed a point on this one, but yes felons do crossdress, but are they crossdressers or felons? FRC is probably posting this one on their web site.
