Title: First time making a poll, random work question.

So... randomness I've never done a poll before and out of boredom/curiosity figured I'd make this 1. I've mentioned here before that my commute to work is 6 hours (3 each way) & I work 4 to 5 days a week. I've lately been debating leaving my job or cutting back to seasonal but I really like my job. Getting a license would work but my car is a gas guzzler & gas wouldn't be worth it. So here's the options.

Thanks for voting!

Note: I know in the end it's up to me this is just boredom and curiosity

Probably not a good time to be quitting a job if you are lucky enough to have one. Is it possible to move closer to your work, if it is a job you expect to be at for a good while?

Very good point, I live with my mom though and she works near where we are at so moving isn't an option sadly. There are a lot of places hiring near me surprisingly.

When this happened to me, I moved closer to the job. The benefit was that the job was in a scummier area and so the rent got cheaper, I made new friends and what with working, grocery shopping and living there - I feel part of the community also.

Apply for closer positions and then weigh the options after you're offered one. If the money's worth it at the further job in comparison to the new one, keep it. If not, take the new one. What do you like about your job? See if you could get a similar position closer.

you should do what feels right for you.

in my caise I vote for keeping my job,
it because we are in a time where it hard to find jobs, specially for transgender people,
and I will need the money by that time (not looking for job now but will later after finishing my school).
so unless I really hated my job I would chance.
I think if I been there for a long time and wanting something new i would keep my job while looking around trying to get some sort of connection without letting complitely go, and if I got good response ex like being offered a job the place I wanted to I could quit.
