Title: Can't download a picture on my profile
Post by: silvershadow17 on July 18, 2011, 07:38:38 AM
I want to put a picture on my profile of myself, and for some reason every time I try it won't let me.  I have more than enough posts.  It either says the files too big or that's there has been an error.  I'm only clicking on one picture, but I think it's trying to download the file.  Is there any way to drag or copy and paste??  Suggestions are appreciated...

I am still having trouble trying to upload photo's onto threads, but managed to get a profile photo up.  I had to reduce it's size drastically though to get it to work. Just had to keep trying until I got there.
Still trying to get enough detail on the ones I want to post though to make them worthwhile.

Well, thank you, but how do you reduce it?

Depends what sort of photo processing program you have, but basically I cropped as much as I could without losing too much of the photo, then reduced the size in pixels a lot. I just kept reducing the pixels and trying to upload until it worked. I get the feeling my slow connection here makes things worse too.

Hi

It is the file size there are limitations put in place, which is far enough. Use a program such as Corel, and I'm sure there are freeware as well to reduce it. I'll have to check what size mine are.
To download into a thread you have to post into a photo storage area and download from there. I have never done it.

Yep
Cute Pic as Karen said.
