It seems that everything concerning hormones is ymmv.

After two or three months my wife said I lost my manly sent. :) I've noticed that I have less of a sent and my sweat doesn't stink. :)

But what kind of change is it? i mean is the kind that could make straight boys get aroused because that would be funny

Are you planing on making straight boys confused?  >:-)

For me it's like the kind of sent women don't find attractive. If I wore the right perfume the guys might like it. I was never a really dramatic change for me.

Yes... Your odor/scent/et al all changes... And it definitely is noticeable at least to me. It took around 6 months +/- on HRT. Without getting too graphic... Basically I walked into my bathroom one day and said dam why does it smell like a chick was in my shower... then after a few moments of realization... I was like oh snap! That's me!! :D :D

I also sweat a whole lot less, and when I do it smells not near as bad as it used to. And somewhat related, I get cold real easily now... my cold tolerance has drastically decreased as well.

After 2 or 3 months my odor changed a LOT (which I was sooo happy about). I actually really like the new smell :) My arm-pits don't smell bad at all, just nice (even in the morning or after a long day). If you don't shower for a few days, you still start to smell though :P

I was actually thinking a guy would probably really love the smell... and I don't think I would be self conscious about them getting close.

I also switched to a female deodorant soon after that (I figured something more floral would be nice, and figured i don't need a guys one since I don't sweat nearly as much).

i might do that even in guy moob cuz i can just ask the guy who notices are you sniffing me?

estrogen makes you more sensitive to the scent of men I noticed it within 48 hours a very fast change they just smell like boys it's a musky scent.

the obscure part was where my body changed and didn't smell like a boy anymore but my bed clothes and unwashed clothes like jackets and things did, it felt like I was wearing someone elses coat it was bizzare but after awhile it dissapears and you don't notice it anymore.

'

for me, my body smell became "sweeter."  It is very hard to describe.

Also, about 6 months in, i developed the ability to smell pheromones. Wow....that's all i gotta say about that. Sometimes you can find me on the bleachers of a soccer field while guys practice just smelling away lol

I have a terrible sense of smell, so I can't really pick up on it. But I've had friends tell me that I have a good feminine scent. Whatever that means.

Everything people are reporting here happened to me... but this one I just had happen the other day. I found an old knit cap and a coat i used to wear in the wintertime a few years ago, and they haven't been washed. I could totally tell that the scent on the clothes was different, it was exactly like some boy was wearing it (which, in a sense, I guess there was, physically at least). But it was really odd!

I sweat more now particulary just beneath the boobs.  I do smell a difference with an old coat I had not been wearing in a while.  Yes we do stink as much, but with a different odor, we just not notice it as much, the acidic-metallic portion of your odor is gone.   Keep clean!

Yes, Everyone and everything will notice... The creatures will probably notice most... Fortunately, they will give you love all the same  :)

I notice the change of odour most when it's highlighted by boy stink. I deal with the rent for our house and one of my house mates has an extremely stinky boy stink and he used to put his rent on my bed...I could always tell if he'd been in my room, even before i saw the envelope because I could smell the man stink. I usually felt a bit violated at that point...even though I'd said it was okay.

I really like man-smell (if it's not too matured!) - I'm curious to see what it's like to lose mine, and curious to see whether my enjoyment of it on others changes once I'm on HRT. It's actually the strongest thing that turns me on (or not) about men.

No no, it's true! When I'm outside gardening, little chirping birds land on my shoulder, bunny rabbits and butterflies and fawns come out of nowhere. It's the weirdest thing!  ;)

You just have to watch out for the bears, they have a tendency to come out of the woodwork too - but then they eat you.

Odour CLEARLY changes on E.... BUT --- it also in reverses when going off E and still being pre-op, don't know post-op off E. (quote needed)

In prep for GRS I went down to zero E over 6 weeks, and my odour changed --- can't at all say I liked it for one minute. (If on a sexy male, I'd be fine I'm sure)

Going back on E it took about 2 weeks and I was back to normal. Also rather noticeable the change in the smell of ones urine.
On E it's kind of sweetish, and nowhere near that normal more acrid male smell.

I was kidding around a bit   But most everyone knows that animals have a much keener sense of smell than humans... also I was mostly referring to pets noticing  :)

As for humans, people have made comment about me smelling like a female and I notice a difference in the way my clothes smell

I went on HT March 2010. I did not really notice any "new" odor, female type or otherwise. When I went off hormones 30 days prior to May 31, 2011 surgery, I noticed no odor change, one way of the other (just more bitchy then usual). I'm back on hormones since June 13, and I do notice a change. I've smelled females before, as we all have if we have been around any at all, and I feel it definitely is female odor. And frankly, my dear, I suspect the source of it is the hormones, directly affecting and eminating from the female genitals I brought home from Philadelphia. It seems strong, and probably is strengthed by dilation, lubrication, douching, and (I so hope) natural female odor! I never have smelled better, but either I'm urber sensitive to my odor or I am going to have to pay close attention to hygene!

That is great news, just starting back HRT. I have two lovely Great Pyrenees female dogs. It will be interesting to see how they react.

a neighborhood cat didn't recognise me when I had my hair tied back spoke in my female voice and had started HRT but when I let my hair down she recognised me.

This effect also backfired with an FTM who's story I knew on youtube. Where they had begun T, But their mother wasn't very accepting. a friend of the family mentioned she was going away for a few weeks and needed a dog sitter. the mother went "Oh my daughter can do that" as she was dumb. The thing that was omitted was this dog was a rescue dog, And was abused by men as it was a "female" taking care of the dog this was not mentioned at the time. Thus the FTM on T smelled like a man. and the dog was terrified of him making the whole experience very distressing for both parties.
