Working out has a profound affect on transforming our bodies into the greek gods we all have inside us. haha
Just wondering what your favorite workout is.
Mine is rowing. I find it hits all my big areas of concern. It broadens shoulders, widens back, trims butt and thighs. It's also a good all around at trimming off the extra body fat because it's good cardio. AND, if you use a good erg like Concept2 it has a built in breeze to keep you cool.
pushups, pullups, dips, curls. they're all i do but i wish i wasn't such a lazy a$$hole so i'd put the p90x dvds i have burned to good use.
I love to run, but as I have crap knees I can't do it all that much.
I found a good overall plan that works for me. I absolutely hate running and I'm bored to death on the exercise bike, but I did find I like the mini trampoline so I do that for a little cardio and then a mixed workout (free weights, body weight resistance stuff, exercise bands) that targets different areas each day. Right now I'm just in a kind of "maintaining" phase, not trying to add bulk or anything but just get more defined. It's been working so far.
It be good sex, no question. And it works for both male or female IMHO :-)

Lmfao, goddamn that is so true. Love it. The cmnt and the act. :P
I seem to do a ->-bleeped-<-load of pushups, sit ups, benching, and dips. P90x is good. Other than that, basketball and lots of it
I join the rowing, but only on real boats, and not on machines..
beside that I like push ups, even if I pretty weak (and also had a damege for a long time so I couldnt do it)
but I felt there where something really cool about it when I where in school and I could do more push ups than the weakes guys. kinda made me feel awsome..
I like doing body split workouts.
Where you train one or two muscle groups per session to thier failure, then don't train those muscle again for the remainder of the week.
Generally my workout is a 4 day split type scenario, so I'll do something that looks like this:
Day 1. Chest + Triceps, 30 mins cardio.
Day 2. Back and Biceps
Day 3. Legs and Shoulders, 30 mins cardio.
Cardio usually consists of HIIT on a crosstrainer or treadmill. Sprint 30 seconds, moderate pace 1 minute. Repeat.
Day 4. Leisure cardio such as skateboarding or cycling.
I'll usually also train abs twice a week somewhere with major muscle groups. They're my "treat" muscle as they feel good to train.
Can anybody even understand that, lol?
P-90x until surgery, once I am healed I will be back at the gym. I like to do a combo of weights and swimming since medically I can't run and swimming is soo relaxing.
ZUMBA
and
P90X

I was going to say 'nothing', but then I couldn't ignore this point
I'm far too lazy to work out. A friend suggested we start going to the gym together next year, since I could dig a treadmill, but that would involve all sorts of business with how to present myself. I'm not out. Hm.
I was going to say masturbation bu somebody sort of stole my idea.
I'm in week 5 of P90X, and it's pretty good for building lean muscle and shedding extra clingy pounds. With P90X you work certain muscle groups different days, with resistance training being days 1,3, and 5 and always including the Ab video at the end. Days 2,4, and 6 are various forms of cardio, like jump training, Yoga, and Kenpo. After 3 weeks of the resistance/cardio routine, you'll have a recovery week of just cardio/core strengthening. Then when you go back to resistance training the next week, the videos change a bit so that you're working different muscles on different days. The theory is 'muscle confusion', not sure if that's why it works, or if anything where you're working out 6 days a week will produce results, but it's great.
It's been too hot where I live with the humidity to run outside, and my left knee gives me problems sometimes, so for extra cardio, I have an elliptical machine, it's lower impact than treadmill running even.
Before surgery, I had a difficult time of exercising. I started the P90 (little brother to the P90x) and liked that. One more week before I can get back to it. :)
I wish I had a fun sport or activity I could do that would BE my workout, only one I can think of if rock climbing, and you cant just do that whenever you feel like it.
I just use dumbbells and work my shoulders, traps, biceps, forearms etc
Bowling. ;D
work, and it pays
A few of you guys have mentioned P90X, I will be starting that soon. For those that use it have you seen decent weight loss or change in clothes size? I want to be back to where I was a year ago.
Also really like to hit the eliptical at the gym.
Probably Chest....though I do actually like leg workouts from time to time!

If you follow the workouts, give it an honest effort and keep a low carb diet (or follow their meal plan) it works well. I did it for 60 days a few years ago (had to stop early due to travel) and really watched what I was eating and played hockey 2-3x a week. It was very helpful. Lost decent amount of body fat and became a lot faster in my reactions in hockey.
I don't generally like workout plans, but I really love P-90x. It's the only one I would ever recommend to somebody because I feel it is worth the money and/or time invested.
I'm so embarrassed to admit this, but I really enjoy pilates.
I got stuck in a pilates/aerobics class in college for my gym credit and ended up loving it.
I'm starting to get back into that again, at home, and a tiny bit of hand weights.
My girlfriend is desperately trying to get me to try bellydancing with her but that just...kind of terrifies me.
(But I'll probably get drunk and try it once for the lulz)
I tried P90x while out of town (my family had it unopened and wanted to check it out). And I wasn't crazy about it. I liked the Yoga but I felt like there wasn't enough of a variety of body parts/stretches. In my opinion the workouts are way too long. I know it works, but I can't imagine it has great long term effects, especially for anyone that is not on the P90x diet (which is a little ridiculous). After 45min/1hr of intense physical exercise, your body begins producing Cortisol in response to the stress which can eventually hinder progression.
Personally, I think nothing beats eating right, lifting and cardio, and an active lifestyle. I love lifting but outside of the gym I always try to go swim, hike, play pickup games with friends, ride my bike at the skatepark, whatever, just have fun while being active.
As stated, I LOVE lifting. I have since I was 14, and definitely fell in love when I played football. I keep my workout well rounded, but my favorite body part to workout is shoulders/traps, followed by chest and upper back.
I don't know what its called, I think it's a pull, but you take a barbell, stand with your feet shoulder width apart with a close overhand grip, then you pull the barbell up to your chest until your elbows, forearms and hands are parallel with the bar, then lower it. Think of it as a close grip Lat Pulldown, but your standing and the bar is from the bottom, not the top. I use the pyramid technique and this one gave me some explosive growth and helps give some definition to the upper back. Then I love combining it by some doing dumbbell shrugs (with a heavy weight) dumbbell chest flys (slight incline) and inverted bench after (with give or take a few lighter/lower impact chest and shoulder exercises). Feels soooo good, and when paired with the right nutrition the results are great.
Did my second favorite workout today, riding the bike up and over the hump at Annandale State Park. You can ride fireroads to singletrack, anything from "easy" (relatively speaking) to "professional level/technical" double black diamonds - and if you think you are really awesome on that Mtn bike, try the Rough Go Trail. It takes no prisoners.
And going from 321 feet above sea level to 1,320 feet you can climb and descend 999 feet on a ride. That's almost more changes in elevation than the entire state of Iowa. More if I count from from my house, which is at 167 feet.

Competetive sailing on the San Francisco Bay. Hiking up a snowy slope in the Sierras and sledding (did this a few weeks ago, in 90F, with 4 ft of snow).
And then everyday things like swimming at the local beach, walking around the city, and exploring the bay by kayak.
Life is pretty good here in CA.
I like to hoop, it's lots of fun cause I'm learning hooping tricks while I do it. I'm gonna start p90x prob, otherwise I speed walk a lot (it looks really stupid but it works) and do some strength training. I would cycle but I can't really cycle, run, or do a lot with pressure on my knees b/c of fallout from being anorexic (my knees, shins, and ankles don't like to work well anymore).

Shhh, they will all want to come here.
Really California SUCKS. The rents are high, and buying? Are you kidding, it's not real estate, it's surreal estate. There is no good pizza. No parking either. If there is not an earthquake there are fires and floods. Read what he said, it's mid-freaking JULY and there is snow on the ground. Really, you will all like Jersey a lot better.

Haha, I've lived in both states. Honestly I've seen ppl in each state have this weird super dislike/disgust with the other state and I just don't get it.

Oh god no, not classes! I'd piss my pants, I've gotten so bad with social situations over the past year. She ordered a dvd recently and is constantly watching it on youtube.
