Question:
My face is androgyne?
Option 1: Yes
Option 2: No
callmecallme
The androgyne's here will tell you that it is androgyne if you say it is. There is not really an appearance associated with being androgyne. Do you gender your face?
If you are Androgyn, then it is. All Androgyn's look androgyn, just like all humans look like humans. It's like horses look like horses, but there are similar looking animals that are not horses. Zebras for instance. You could paint up a horse to look like a zebra, but it would just be a painted up horse that looks like Zebra. Androgyne is a gender, not a look. androgynous is not Androgyne, it is a fashion look that crosses the binary boundaries for the sake of a look for those who want to look like, I suppose two different genders. There is almost a hint of pornagraghy in it.
If you are not Androgyne, then it is very androgynous.

ps It doesn't look deep enough until you can see the pulsing of blood. There is a section here under addiction about cutting. I need to go there for support occasionally. Like a lot of things, you can't understand unless you do and do.
i would say yes, definately. your face has good qualities that balance out masculinity/femininity. the short haircut really seals the deal for you, and makes you indistinguishable as a binary gender.

Everyone's face is potentially androgyne, we are the first, we are carving the new territory...as for whether you look androgynOUS, yeah, pretty much.

No, no - you're not getting me. You are talking androgynOUS - that's about how you look.
AndroGYNE (without the ous) is who you are, what person you are, how you identify - and as such any face, be it ever so grizzled is an AndroGYNE face, even if not an AndrogynOUS one.
Cutting is very easily an addiction, one as bad as any drugs. I have seen people with scars over scars to make them look like art. Took some deep cutting to do those. Go look for the section or do a search on addiction and cutting.

One more time:
Just remember that androgynous is nothing more than a fashion statement.
You can look androgynous and not be Androgyn
You can be Androgyn and not look androgynous
If You are Androgyn and look androgynous, you don't.
You then look Androgyn. Which can have a look of androgynous, but it isn't.

My face is androgyne? or My face is androgynous?
I'm MTF , But I do not try to look like women in these images

So.. my face is androgyn ... correct?
It's a real awkward bit of terminology aint it?
Androgyne - mental/mind/soul
Androgynous - Body/face/presentation.

Then you don't need to worry much about the word androgyne. I am androgyne, you are MTF.
And with your big lips and big eyes, I think you will make a most attractive woman.
You appear androgynous even though you are female, you and I are similar in that regard. The word androgyn(e) does not apply to us.
You = androgynous, and you shall make an attractive woman one day. :)

hopefully!! :-*
you have a very androgynous face, and i believe you would make a beautiful woman
and for the confusing terms.. 'androgynous' and 'androgyn(e)' are two different things in english
'androgynous' is the same as 'andrógino'. this is how your face looks
'androgyn(e)' is here used about someone who identifies as neither male nor female, or both male and female, or something in between (can get confusing)
it has nothing to do about how one looks. i look very feminine, but am still androgyne
since you identify as female, that means you and your face are not androgyne
(did this explanation help at all?)
ok, I changed the name of the poll, thanks
My face is androgynous? - Poll xD
All this "your face isn't your gender" bull mess is malarky, studies have proven since the 80's that most people recognize a gender based on facial features, and less on boobs, for example. Do ya'll think someone does a x-ray scan of your genitals every time they meet you at a coffee shop? No. Do you think that wearing a flower in your hat is going to make someone say "Oh look, that person's androgynous.". No.
All that aside, I believe the OP looks like Pink. Very androgynous, very cute. Not strictly male or female. An inbetween. That's what Androgynous is. Androgynous can be what you want it to be if you live in a mental institution where everyone there sees what they want to see, but in the real world, there are specific combinations of traits that may make the outside world see you as male, female, or inbetween/hard-to-judge.
That's just talking about appearance; of coarse we all have the right to identify with whatever we want to, inside or out. However, the real world always comes into play, wether we like it or wether we don't...

errh.. your face
isn't your gender. not even your genitals are
and even then, 'androgynous' has nothing to do with gender

the real world may have it's conceptions and misconceptions about me, based on how i look
but i still don't think it's any of the real worlds business to play with my gender based on it's own misconceptions
i'm the only one who has a right to do that

These kind of put downs are offensive. Your brand of limited opinions is less of the real world than most anyone who understands what Psychiatric Units are really all about. They can be more of the real world than you. I think your opinions are nothing than bigoted 'bullcrap'. I for one think you shouldn't be commenting about Androgyn's until you actually have some idea of who they are. In fact I think you don't have what it takes to write an opinion. The level of your intelligence about non-binaries is at the place where having a conversation with you would be and is apparently, impossible.

I have to agree. Rhino, your comments tend to be offensive. You also always say your comments are backed up by studies to further validate your opinions but you never link any sources and none of us are aware of these "studies." Usually the best course of action to something you are not familiar with is to learn about the group of people first (such as androgynous people).
I voted yes in the poll because I agree that your facial structure is an even mix of what I personally see as maie and female traits. If you had not said you were born a boy, I dont think i would have been able to guess.
You look very androgynous to me. You're very pretty ;D You look like a cis-girl with short hair.
Quoteif my nose was normal xd (soo big , would be amazing)
If your nose were smaller, I think it would look strange on your face. I think it looks nice, very cute. haha.

Who was talking about a flower?
Anyway we all learnt that this wasn't really an androgyne thread anyway, and was just a mix up in the language - must be why it got nasty so quickly.
