Yet another major reason I want nothing to do with the so called Transgender Community, that is more like the Borg Cult, has to do with their rampant heterosexism, partnered with their general sexism.
I do not consider woman a social construct that includes people with penises. It has nothing to do with "gender" either performative or in the form of claimed identity. Women are adult females based on the same criteria that are generally used to assign sex at birth.
Hardening of the arteries occurs in Transsexual people as well as the rest of the population with age. Even the hardening of the intellectual arteries. Reminiscences of surgery in the 70's is just a walk down memory lane, and there errors and misadventures that TG's have had since those days that need to be used to create a future, not a museum, or even a mausoleum.
LOL, the author claims the Transgender Borg to be using sexism and then immediately drawls out entire paragraphs which can only be described as sexist. This article is full of so much FAIL, that I'm not going to respond to it point-by-point. I think everything can be summed up in a few sentences.
Quote from: articleI am not very sympathetic towards people who want to have their cake and eat it too. Becoming a woman or man via surgery and expecting to be legally considered a member of the sex to which one has been reassigned means living with the same set of rules other women and men have to live by. Why should you be an exception?
Why should I be an exception? For the same reason everyone should be an exception. These "rules" that men and women are supposed to live by are completely arbitrary, outdated by several centuries (at the very least), and no longer serve a useful purpose in modern society. Gender roles are HURTING people, and that's why they need to go. Either help us get rid of them entirely, or come up with better ones that actually serve a purpose in modern times.

Gender roles,
per se were not the real point of what you had quoted though. Rather, it was the element of backdooring into a 'legal' same sex marriage in jurisdictions where they are not available to the general population. We already saw that several years ago in Texas in the wake of
Littleton where post-ops were wanting to be viewed as either men or women EXCEPT for the ability to marry their partner of choice. And I feel the same now about that crap as I did when a certain media whore pushed the issue more than a decade ago...it reeks of trying to have an
a la carte life. Picking and choosing WHEN to be a man or a woman if one purports to be surgical-tracked is just wrong to A LOT of people on so many levels...and that is ultimately something that contributes to errant court rulings as well as making it easier for a legislature to decide that they need not intervene through the crafting of new statutes.
I wonder how she feels about MTF/FTM relationships where the partners opt to keep their genitailia in tact so they can enjoy a sexual relationship and possibly have children?
