This is prob already covered but i dont got the time to check and its kinda awkward wit the location im in right now. Im goin on the 2011 penn state leadership conference on sunday. Some of the kids know (my friends, my roommate, etc) but there will be students from every psu campus there... How can i swim and not look awkward? Binder and baggy shirt i know... Do mesh/jersey type shirts work better? What reasons can i give for keepin my shirt on other than sunburn?
Lemme know your thoughts, thanks guys
Maybe you could try a rash guard.
If I was in your shoes I would just skip swimming.
Have the attitude that you just want to keep your shirt on and that is that.
Don't say anything, and wear your shirt. It's not a big deal unless you make it one.
hmm I'd wear a rash vest and swim shorts i think. Maybe try a binder underneath the rash vest :)
I just say I'm touchy about my many scars. ( I really do have many scars one is long and wide from sternum to lower right side)
I was told by some trans guys to use a binder and an underarmor shirt, but I would not suggest it. Underarmor and other shirts made with similar material have a habit of clinging when I get out of water (anyone else have this problem? -_-). They seriously suction to my body which is not good as it makes my binder very apparent. Now I swim with a binder and a looser fitting mesh athletic shirt. It's a lot easier to swim in and it doesn't cling. See if you can find something like that.
DEFINITELY dont wear a plain white Tee. :P
As for an excuse, why do you have to have one? its cheaper than sun block, helps you stay cool, stops you from getting sunburn... If they cant handle that, then just look at them and say "What? you want to be my boyfriend? want to check out my abs?" But chances are you'll be fine. :P
Unless you do want them to see your abs... :P
the loose fitting athletic shirts work really well with a binder under. And you could have one of your friends "push" you in playfully, so you have an excuse in case someone asks, you already got it wet when your friend pushed you in, so you just left it on.
Don't worry about having to wear a shirt in the water, lots of guys wear shirts in the water. Some guys are not comfortable taking off their shirt for whatever reason. My cousin wears a shirt in the water all the time.
yeah just go ahead and wear your shirt dude. I've never seen a guy get asked about why he's wearing one. I guess people just really don't care. besides, you pass so well that people won't even think about what it really means.

This
If you're super skinny I could see the rash guard working.. From my experience though a binder and sleeveless t-shirt is the best fit. BTW there is nothing wrong or 'suspicious' in anyway about wearing a shirt in the water. If it makes a difference I live near South Beach and guys in shirts is a common sight even there.
Yo thanks guys. Im hopin i dont have to go swimmin but idk i guess ill find out. I was at a hotel recently and went swimmin in trunks and a pretty baggy sleeveless jersey type shirt. I think i passed, i dont really know. Only thing was when i got out bc it was wet it sometimes was clingin to me. But it wasnt too hard to hide. Imma jus do whatever. I jus dont know many small guys who wear their shirts in water, haha and im pretty little. But yea, thanks again all
