Title: Girlie Calendars
Post by: Re: Joyce on August 04, 2011, 06:20:35 AM
All my life, I loved tastefully done girlie calendars.  Not that I was obsessed with what day it was, but rather each month I could see a vision of what I wanted to look like.  I loved to see that vision and indulge in that fantasy daily.

Early this year, a rep was in handing out calendars and we had a choice of topics.  I asked for a girlie calendar.   A woman co-worker asked me why I'd want one.  Being pre-op at the time, I replied that I wanted to see what I could look like....   ;)

Now, at over 4 months, post-op, I know I'm looking at my last one.  I look like that now.  :)  I'll have no need for one next year.  My view of the female body is completely different.  It's just another body like mine.  No attraction, no big deal, no stimulation.   It may help me with diet or exercise, but that's it.

I think I'll choose kittens or flowers next year...

And so say most of "us" :-)

Get a "boyjie" (Chippendales?) calender next year and lots of those six-pack abs, lats, and pecs, pics.
Maybe you'll just appreciate those? (I would...)

:-)

Some people have made the case for me being lesbian, but girly calendars are sexist. I like Georgia Okeef.

Ah, but if it's a "Girly Calendar for Lesbians, by Lesbians" I'll have one!  ;)

I love my firefighter calendar. Mostly guys with their shirts off *drool* but some girl fire fighters as well with bikinis and stuff. Good stuff =)

well I can't really complain that girly calendars are sexist, because I tend to like the male ones like Debra described. :)

Mrrr... a calendar full of half naked firefighters? I definitely need this ^^
So far I have always been the rocky mountains calendar type of person.

My mum always buys me a calendar for Christmas, one of them fambly traditions.
I had puppies last year. I have these sarcastic hippos this year who make lots of jokes about girl's nights out and chocolate - not sure what message she's trying to give me.
