Title: it has been a month
Post by: cynthialee on August 09, 2011, 09:32:21 AM
So a month ago I had breast augmentation with Dr. Nguyen in Lake Oswego Oregon.

They are looking good, the scaring is minimal and the pain is mostly gone. (I was told I could expect pain occasionaly for upwards of a year.) Yes there is still some pain occasionaly but for the most part they feel just fine. Mainly in the morning the right breast will be sore it doesn't take long for the pain to go away.

I have been on HRT for 2 years, I have been castrated and I have had a breast augmentation. I don't know when or even if I will be able to get my genitals repaired, but I think I might be able to survive if I can't get SRS. I can look at my body without having the stress get so bad I feel like I am going to puke. My peers all accept me as a woman and society treats me like a woman.

I'd call that a win.

Cyndi, What was your recovery time?  When would you be leased for work?  I am thinking about going the same way during one of the breaks we get at school.  I am wondering if I got it on a Friday would I be OK to go back to school a week from the following Monday?

I know.  Ask Dr. N. But you just had one, so I ask a former patent.

For the first 3 days after day one I was miserable. Day one was a breeze because Dr Nguyen freezes the nerves that are the most likely to cause pain and it lasts for the first day. Day 2 that nerve thingy he does wears off.
Day 2-4....not fun but I would go through it again if I had too. He provided me with Flexeil and Vicodin. For me the vicodin wasn't strong enough (I live on 90 mgs of Morphine a day...), but I brought with me a bottle of Oxycodone I had left over from my last surgery before the BA.

Around day 5 I was starting to feel better and I could start doing my chores.
Around week 2 I was feeling great with just a reminder pain on occasion.
Around week 3 most of the time I felt like I never even had surgery. (except for the lose of sensation in the right nipple)

Like I said there is still some pain but not bad and mostly it is first thing in the morning.

As for Dr Ngyuen: I would recomend him to any TS who is looking for a good surgeon that specializes in TS.

I'd call that a win too. I will likely end up doing what you have done and call it a day.

Cool Cindy )Hugs( I'm happy things are going good for you and that you can accept your body a bit more easily. I hope it only gets better in the future!

The implants look good in the picture. Now you need a tummy tuck!

You look fab!  You've come so far in so many ways.  I'm really glad that you your issues with your body have been reduced to background noise.  I sure wish I could say the same.  That must feel so great!
