'Hollyoaks' Victoria Atkin promises "exciting" Jason future

Hollyoaks star Victoria Atkin has revealed that there are new developments ahead for Jason Costello's transgender storyline, which returns to the forefront of the soap later this year.

However, speaking to Digital Spy about how the transgender story progresses in the coming months, Atkin explained: "Later on in the year, we've got Jason's desire to start with hormone blockers and testosterone, so we'll see that.
"I've also just got a chest binder for the character - he'll be using that rather than bandaging and we'll see that when Jason suits and boots himself up for a very special forthcoming event that I'm not allowed to talk about yet! And we've also got Jason coming out as gay to his family coming up, and that's really exciting."
