The Colorado Court of Appeals on Thursday soundly rejected the appeal of the man convicted in 2009 of murdering a Greeley transgender woman.

Judge Arthur Roy delivered the 12-page opinion, rejecting Allen Andrade's appeal of his murder conviction in April 2009. After a two-week trial, a jury took just two hours to convict Andrade of killing Angie Zapata, 18, on July 16, 2008. Judges Alan Loeb and Jerry Jones concurred with the opinion.
