So I've been full time, a bit prematurely maybe, but full time nonetheless.
I'm 4 months and two weeks in HRT, have five sessions of laser in, but none on my body hair. Thing is, I have been epilating it, since my breasts began growing I stopped waxing and as I have went full time my chest hair has become a problem. It is much more thin than it used to be, but I still have some thick follicles, specially on my sternum in between my breasts and now and then I have in-grown hair and foliculitis. My skin has got very thin, so in-growns are fairly noticeable.
I have been applying foundation to my chest when it is warm and I want to use a top that has a open neck. Sometimes the foundation spills on my clothes and it is bothersome! It works, but folliculitis sucks and it can't hide it when it happens.
So, I think laser is the way to go. I plan first doing my chest, avoiding my breasts because they are sensisitive and I have very few hair follicles there and then go down my abdominal area. My laser tech knows I'm trans and she is a graduated doctor so its totally OK to show the tiny girls to her.
Is there anything else I can do? Can I hope laser will work?
I just pluck mine...it gets less and less noticable as you go along. And if you're like me you start to care less and less about it being there...especially when some of your female friends have just as much hair as you in certain places.

I used to develop ingrown hairs anywhere on my body where I'd shave or wax the hair. I'd look like I was suffering from a severe case of chicken pox, it was hideous.
After my first whole body laser session ($650 AUD, $700 USD) things were significantly better. Only three or four ingrown hairs on my chest, a few on my legs and a few more on my arms. It helped significantly. The hairs are much thinner and lighter and I don't develop foliculitis.
I'm pre HRT and it worked a treat on me. I've just had my second whole body laser session,'I await even better results.

Yes they have been thinning.... but the weather here in Brazil nearly mandates me to get done with them ASAP. I'm going to look into laser :P

I went to a place to see how much it'd cost for just six armpit sessions, and it was $1250 US!

Bird, after almost an additional year on HRT, how did your body hair work out? Did you get laser or did hormones reduce the thickness of the hair?
I'm super curious.
Anyone have an issue with things like people noticing a lack of arm hair while presenting as male? On a scale from 1 to 10 (Robin Williams), I'm maybe 8ish, so I'm concerned it will be noticeable.
