Title: Hypnotherapy
Post by: RuthChambers on February 16, 2007, 07:32:40 AM
Have any of you had hynotherapy and would you prepared to share your experience ????

I know Hypnotherapy can not "cure" gender issues but I am interested in how effective it is for other personal issues.

Thanks, Ruth

My comment would be that you should be very careful with hypnotherapy.  Be sure you get good explainations of what to expect and what they hope to accomplish.

Be sure you know what Your expectations are also.  Personally I would not suggest it.

It is best regarded as a tool rather than a therapy in it's own right. There are circumstances where it is very useful, and some where it's harmful.

This is the professional organization involved with training and certification of hypnosis providers. A good place to start for someone reputable.

I've been through some of their training, many moons ago. Good stuff.
Hugs and good luck!

I've been under hypnosis for non-gender reasons (very good, accredited practitioner) and, more often than not, any self-imagery that pops up has me as a woman.  Furthest thing from my mindset at the moments (well, I guess it's always there) which I always found interesting.

Peace,

Knowing what I know of the subject, which is to say enough to be dangerous, I do not consider hypnotherapy for any 'problem(s)' I have. In my objective opinion it results in another layer over the 'truth'. This is, however, just as I see it.
