This is so funny :)
The very first episode of "Trading Spouses". Attached is the climax of that episode. Stay til the very end. Its worth every minute.
"Crazy woman on Trading Spouses (wife swap except trading mums i think) and they put a devout christian with a bunch of wiccans!"

lol, that's really funny. i wonder what comes next!
lol
Yes, they are ungodly! But their money is the same color as everyone elses!
I can remember my ex complaining about my legal name imprinted on my support checks. "I can't accept these checks!" she exclaimed. "You will if you want the money," I told her. She found out that they cashed just as good as the others.
Insanity, it is. These people who act like this are insane. I can't describe it in any other way. How do their offspring even survive? I just don't know ;)

I am Buddhist... am i ungodly now? :D
You could tell she was speaking from fear and not anger. Is their religion really that weak where they have to avoid anything even remotely unchristian? It doesn't seem like if it's worth even believing in if it's so easily corruptible. :-\

Those poor children, having to live with that. If she's like that with television cameras on her, imagine how abusive she is in private.

I guess I didn't find it so humorous because she said a lot of thing my mom has said and it hit a little too close to home. :'(

Yes, that is SO sad... being so young and exposed to that level of anger and (self) hatred.
Maybe if she learned to love and accept herself, and face up to whatever is obviously torturing her and stop hiding behind Jesus... ?
I smiled at first, but it quickly stopped seeming funny when I saw the looks on the kid's faces, how scared and terrified and upset they were from their own *mother*.
And that SCREAMING. Wow.

Oh my!
True story: When my boss and I were planning my "coming out" at work, I mentioned the conversation with my mother, and how it went relatively well.
He commented,
"Well that's great. As shocking as it probably was, knowing your mother it's not like you told her you were a witch or something.""Uh... boss... uhm... I thought you knew abo...""I don't even want to know," he suggested, lol...

I wonder how she'd react if she was informed that as a christian, she's actually in a minority.
How is she going to avoid the rest of us and our "dark sided" world. ;)

She's obviously ignoring what Xianity teaches. How sad...

Not necessarily.
I think christianity merely clarifies whatever you bring to it. It exposes what's in your heart already. For some people, that's a generousity and beauty that's just amazing to see. For others, it's an awful hatred and ugliness towards anyone "different."

Only one word I know describes that woman......
Evil, Pure and simple.
As extreme as that ladies response was, it was a just a basic fundamentalist religion response.
There really isn't that much difference if you substitute Islam for Christianity, Qur'an for Bible, and "Allah Akbar (God is great)" for "In Jesus' name, I pray".
Without bringing all the religious zealots down on this poor transsexuals butt, please let me state that these are extremes! And by definition are in the minority. Mainstream Christians and Islamics are wonderful people who actually share quite a bit of religious background. By each of their definitions the extremist fundamentalists many times exaggerate and misrepresent their respective religions. And are considered over the top.
This is just more sensationalist television claptrap. The only thing missing was Jerry Springer and a folding chair...

Jews, Christians and Muslims were known as the "people of the Book" and during the Great Califa they lived together in harmony. It is the greed of the Crusaders who wanted access to the silk and pearls trading routes as well as the burning and expropriation of the Iberian Jews and Muslims by the Expensionist Castillian Inquisition that started the rift. Divide and conquer! Will we ever learn?

I wouldn't agree with that at all. Instead I would say that "Almost all wars have used religion as an excuse."

depends how you see it, if religion is an excuse or if it is because religions don't accept each other so they fight

I would agree, or not, depending of the meaning you give to Religion:
A cocoon of rigid man-made certitudes to avoid to have to think, question, explore and learn, but to feel important, smug and rightious;*
or the result of a fluid, ongoing, humbling and enlighting spiritual process connecting you deeply to the mysteries and intricacies of the universes (and his/her/its creator.)
