Iowa fires 3 civil rights investigators for discriminatory emails
It is important to understand that civil rights agencies, nor, for that matter, judges, do not always understand or respect civil rights and civil rights law. Here is another story that it is wise to keep in mind.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Three Iowa civil rights investigators have been fired after sending hundreds of gossipy emails calling co-workers derogatory nicknames like "Psycho," ''Monster," and "Roid Rage," and forwarding pictures that made fun of fat people, Wal-Mart customers and others, according to public records and interviews.
Sounds like they spent so much time violating other peoples right to a workplace that is free from harassment that the real reason they got fired was they didn't have time to do ANY work they were hired for. GREAT. Having been on that road as a state supervisor, and having had to deal with the same issue a couple of times (a year) when I was still working, I am glad the supervisor is getting the bad apples sauced out of public service.
General rule: Never use your office email account to send personal emails. You're office emails are the property of the company you work for, and they can and will be used against you.
