Title: screw my voice
Post by: Josh on August 26, 2011, 11:03:21 PM
My voice isnt high but it isnt exactly deep or in the male range for a guy my age.
Its not like i dont pass.. kids on campus always askin if im a junior or senior (even tho im 5ft and super tiny, dont have stubble/facial hair, shoulders etc.) when im only a sophomore.
But my voice.. its botherin me so much lately.. i do exercises but i even wanna start smokin jus to make it more hoarse/deeper -_-

EDIT:: not on T, prob wont be for a long time

Well, are you on T yet or plan to? Because it definitely helps.
I've only been on for a bit over 2 months and my voice doesn't get as high as it usually did, and is cracking a lot lately.

also, i wouldn't start smoking just for the voice thing. I've been smoking about a year now, and my voice never changed from it really (not that i started for that reason, but still)

on the smoking note... i've smoked for several years, and hasnt changed my voice one bit. i actually just quit smoking to help my testosterone levels. smoking actually reduces T. so, i wouldnt suggest it. maybe take up screamo? lol. that'll definetly damage the vocal chords enough for a deeper voice.

Kal,

Please don't start smoking, you will regret it. Save your money and health for the T. Please? ;D

smoking doesn't help your voice at all. but i have experienced that a very persistent cold with lots of coughing and throat hurt can lower it so much even your family won't recognize it. not that i'd recommend that either, it hurt to use the cool voice when it was at it's best (or maybe worst?)

Smoking might give you a nice.... Ugly raspy trashy sounding voice....

I wish I had a gendered voice, period! My voice is bad for female and for male! I speak in a frequency unheard by humans. :C I have no advice
Maybe if you yell real loudly it will help your voice sound masculine!
