I'm just starting it. Watched the first bit of the video... Might take me a while. I think the hardest thing at first is doing these exercises which don't have an immediate connection with saying words or sentences and trusting that they will work. Hmmm... I think I have to work on that trust thing!

My fingers are crossed for both of us. Good luck and let us know how it is progressing.

I've just gotten really sick of being perceived as a dude and even some of my friends using male pronouns at times.  I have good feelings about this program though :) I'm just trying to stick to the routine.

Started with Andrea's program a month ago, felt the same way but...started to realize that the first 11 exercises are familiarizing you with the muscles of the throat/Larynx, and how to control them. Then 12-35 is about pitch and pronunciation of vowels and consonants by controlling the throat muscles (pinched, breathy).

Although the Spectrogram program comes with exercises, it doesn't blend it into the Voice program as it should. I checked out a booked at my local University's library on the subject;

Voice And Communication Therapy for the Transgender/transsexual Client: A Comprehensive Clinical Guide [Paperback]
Sandy Hirsch, and Michelle Mordaunt Richard K. Adler, 2006

The short of it is this, in the book Speech Therapists use the spectrogram or similar device to get a baseline pitch and then as an aide in helping the "client" raising their pitch. The Finding Your Female Voice  program is copyrighted 2005, so after 7 years an updated Edition would probably help. I am one of those people that do better if you tell me why, I can focus better and replicate what I am doing.

Thanks for the book tip. I'm the same, I need to know why I'm doing things and I'm very curious about the spectogram too so will try to get a hold of a copy. Many thanks.
