Title: pre-surgery headache medicine
Post by: hilah.hayley on August 29, 2011, 08:59:32 PM
I am about 8 days away from surgery and have been told to not take specific medications whatsoever, including Progesterone, Anti-androgens, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, herbal supplements, blood thinners. I have a really big headache and the only thing the typically works for me is Excedrin which containst aspirin. Is anyone aware of a headache medicine that is OK to take pre-surgery?

I would be grateful!!

Thank you,
Hayley

Check with your doctor, is my best advice - (s)he will know your medical history and what is okay for you.

I'm with Padma, seek qualified advice from your doctor.

Tylenol is generally ok, but check it out with your doctor first.

Thanks for all the responses. I checked with the Doctors office and Tylenol is the only thing I am allowed to take for pain.
