Title: Underwear advice.
Post by: noleen111 on August 31, 2011, 01:30:24 PM
Hi

Its been a long time since i last posted here... and I am back..

Since my last post, I am now transitioning and have been on hormones for about 9 months now.. My body is reacting nicely to the treatment, I wear a b-cup bra and there even some fat redistribution to my hips. My best friend who is a generic girl told me I am starting to look female in jeans.

I must say its nice to wear a bra, and its my boobs that fill the cups. I have become quite girly girl. I love makeup, heels, clothes etc.

Anyways..

I am doing something I have never done as a girl.. I am going to a formal dinner party (first one since HRT).. I am gonna be wearing a lovely dark blue dress, and i have  got a lovely pair of heels to match.. I will do my nails in french manicure. I actually love wearing dresses..

Now the part I have never done.. I want to wear a thong/g-string.. My friends says the dress should not be a problem and I can wear something like that under it.
I am pre-op.. can pre-ops wear stuff like that... Is there room etc...  Can anyone recommend styles etc..

Do any of you wear stuff that like or should I wait until I am eventually post-op..

Thanks

Uhm you can try 'tucking'.
It's a method used by drag queens and works relatively well.

I'm sure you could use any kinda of underwear.(aslong as its not lacey or anything)

i endo told of tucking then taping it can hide it perfectly :)

You might as well go the whole way and wear nothing. Beats having to constantly "slip it back into position" every so often. Just don't stand in front of a light with your legs apart. :icon_redface:

...Or just choose the sensible option and wear briefs.

I can't. A thong just wouldn't be enough support for me on it's own. You can try taping to hold yourself in place, but taping hurts and it's a hassle if you have to use the bathroom.

Some of 'us' can wear a G-string/thong being pre-op. I can - but hey, it's a bit dangerous at times depending what goes over it.
If you 'fall' out of it, it can be REALLY embarrassing. If for some reason you'd get turned on --- you be in real trouble! :-)

So? I decided to forgo thongs until after SRS and wear my good old stretch-cotton slips.
Still the best for the time being.

Heh, I'm lucky in that regard. At a bare minimum it takes some serious manual work to get "excited".

me i just wear boy shorts, if thats what you call them, well thats what it says on the panty... sorry im new to this. usually, thats like enough for me. the skirt hides the bulge. i guess i have a small pouch on my belly and the extra inche of elevation gives well more room for the thing down there to be left unnoticed hahaha.

anything smaller sorta 'slips', so its just a pain for me. might as well go for comfort right, i mean no one like sees it anyway.

I used to have a thong, but I find them rather uncomfortable to wear. Why do you want to wear one?

I tend to wear a tight pair of knickers to keep everything in place then some nice matching underwear over the top.
Seems to work for me x

Thanks for the comments...

Today I bought a thong, actually a thongs. I bought a black cotton thong (3 pack).. The design gives me plenty of room for tucking..

I will wear one tomorrow as test all day...

One the night of my dinner party, I will be wearing pantyhose as well, so that will also help to keep things all in..

If you want to wear it, then do. It just seems... odd... to me. I would only wear one for a special occasion with a special someone.

I've tried that and all it resulted in was no small amount of burning and itching.  And yet, something as tight as pantyhose doesn't even work for me.  I wear two pairs of control-top pantyhose and that still doesn't keep things in place.  I could spend all day getting it right, I walk right out of the tuck in four steps.

Really need surgery, because I'm sick of being in this much pain and unable to move. :(  Either that or I just have to accept the bulge, which I can't do either.

I just never understood why girls don't like pantyhose.  I just love the feel!

I also don't understand why woman hate pantyhose..

Pantyhose was the first piece of womans clothes i ever wore...

Pantyhose feels great on freshly shaven legs, and when you are wearing a skirt and a breeze blows against your legs... wow.....

agreed on the pantyhose, or tights - not that i'm at a point to go out like that yet. never did like thongs, i like a high cut panty myself. as far as falling out there is not much to 'worry' about if it happenes for me. enjoy the fancy dinner  :D
