Title: Underworks 997 Problem
Post by: Liam on September 02, 2011, 01:48:31 AM
Okay, so I've had the Double Front Compression Shirt 997 model from Underworks for about a year now. It seems like a half portion of the back of it is completely stretched, and it has very little binding power. The fact that the back is coming apart is very apparent. I've always washed it by hand and hung it up to dry, so I don't know why it did this. I know there's supposed to be normal wear and tear with a year of wearing it, but jeez, this doesn't seem normal. I'm using a bandage wrapped over it and layering while I'm waiting for my new one to get here. I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if I should contact the company about it?

I did not have that problem with the 997.  How many hours a day do you wear it on average?  Do you exercise in it or are very active either at work or at home?  Do you sleep in it?  Do you live in a hot and/or humid climate or sweat a lot?  All of these could be factors in why your binder is breaking down.  The back is just a single layer so it will stretch more quickly than the front.  You can contact Underworks if you'd like, but I don't know what they could tell you.  After a year of wearing it, it's expected that it would stretch/break down.  Especially with regular use.
