I've been reading all the things people have to say about Peppermint Tea. Overall it seems to help woman and men with hair problems. I want to start on a regime of it, however I am afraid of the effects it might have on the hair on top of my head! Has anyone here tried?

It works, and for me it worked very well.

It does not mess with the hair on the head, just body hair and somewhat on facial hair.

Spearmint tea has been know to significantly decrease free testosterone in the body. It also helps to increase hair follicle simulating hormone, whatever that is.

@Axelle - I would assume so! I don't think most woman in the study wanted better hair on their face! lol ;)

Stimulating Hormone (FSH) has nothing to do with hair on the scalp or anywhere else. It is a reproductive hormone and has distinctive function in both the male and female reproductive systems, which is why it was mentioned in reference to the menstrual cycle in the BBC article. Ask your endocrinologist.

Love it and yes Spearmint tea everyday for lunch instead of a coke or other soft drink, two bennies, less body hair and some weight lose, was it the tea or the lack of soda's, just don't drink them unless it's a whiskey or rum in coke, either way it works for me.......
I buy my spearmint in bulk at a local herbalists' shop.
Most of the grocers here in Portland carry it too.
I thought it was Peppermint tea at first! My momma went out and bought some for me, and I was all "I just found out it was spearmint tea." She didn't care, but I felt all bad because she was so excited to find it for me.
I get mine at the local health food store.
