I'm having top surgery this month and plan on not having the nipples done, what are your thoughts on this? My reasons... aesthetically I've never seen any that look good, and as for sensation, they won't feel normal anyway, I won't miss the feeling of them. I'll have them tattooed on later.
So no nipples at all? I was at Toronto Pride this summer and an androgyne walked in the parade with chest surgery done, but no nipples. Looked alright, didn't phase me. I'd say go for it if that's what you want for your body. Nips do kinda look funny. :P
Yes, no nipples at all, I'd like to have a clean slate for the tattoos, if I can ever afford them and find a good artist. If I can't, I'm fine with a bare chest, it's better than some of the nipple jobs I've seen; and it will be awesome if the surgeon reduces the price because of it.
Any more thoughts, I'd like to get a bigger picture.
if you are trying to be stealth it would be pretty hard to explain why you have no nipples, or tattooed on nipples

it would be easier to explain why you have scars, then why you have no nipples. Only reason I can think why you would have no nipples would be breast cancer or something. Plus the nipples and scars heal and there are more reasons to tell people why you have them
True. I guess the people who would see my chest the most would be the ones who know about me. If I was walking in public shirtless, I doubt people could tell that tattoo nipples weren't real.
Well, I had my consult and the doc said he'd be nervous not doing the nipples, so I'm gonna get them done even if the look isn't ideal. It's set for the 27th, and I'm more worried about recovery and loss of independence and mobility, than I am of appearance right now. I just hope the suckers get put on straight and don't look like pepperoni.

I dont mind people having them or not,
but I do like nipple sensation and I cant have that no matter what if I dont have nipples.

Don't generalize. Not all people who have top surgery suffer from "messed up" nipples.

Uhh, yeah mine look normal...
you must have way too high of expectations, cause I have seen tons of pictures of surgery results and I thought about 75% of the nipples looked fine to me.
Nothing wrong with high expectations, thanks for your input guys.
