Title: ignoring users
Post by: xxUltraModLadyxx on September 07, 2011, 04:16:50 PM
i have a question about the ignore feature. if you use it on a certain user, does that mean their posts will become invisible to you?

That's its stated purpose, yes. :)  Of course, it might also result in a stampede for wart-remover ointment in Tahiti.  Will you take that chance?

It is just best to keep an eye on those particular posts, but just do not reply to the person if they post.  If you find that particular person has done something wrong then just hit the 'moderator button' and the Mods will investigate the complaint.  If you make a mistake in your post, then make a correction.  Nobody should think any less of you when you do, in fact, you are the better person if you can admit to your mistakes.

Warm regards
Sarah B

Well, so you will not get flamed as easily - if at all, or.?

It just sucks speaking only to yourself, so I see what you mean.

And as you may note, I for one do NOT have you on ignore, eh. :-)

for some select few it isn't just a few particular posts, but every single one.

Both times I have used it the users that I ignored ended up banned anyway. Some people are just sucktastic.

Yikes. Ignore away, for your own sanity.
