-now for instructions-
first make a paper stp using index cards and scotch tape make sure you laminate the inside with scotch tape before assembling it.

below are the pictures of my pieces and it assembled.

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F87544540.jpg&hash=53af6e0fdb0e2a27485ec2814fb9dd6acc4ba7c5)

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F6cd4c461.jpg&hash=171d2c226473c6bbe8c7b5043882d85e2e35778c)
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F9b197128.jpg&hash=d2c20f4e9b6a7add3b553aca47d40fc35b2205f8)

you should test your stp once to see if it works with your anatomy before you take the time to coat it with silicone.

the silicone stp making part.
materials
-laminate paper stp
-clear silicone caulk
-caulk gun or random tube shaped object
-popsicle stick
-culinary scissors or knife
-wax paper
-long thin pointy object
-pam or WD-40
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F892f425a.jpg&hash=5aa20feaf9117302b0e2e165f8eb5c4f129c56b4)
cut the tip off of the tube with scissors or a knife and poke the seal out with your long pointy object
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2Fe8089c68.jpg&hash=abca17358a20adbe541180521fece71b3bfb85d9)
spray your paper stp with WD-40
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F1774b896.jpg&hash=5ca4e6f112da62faa290251fb7552217d121890e)
squeeze out some silicone
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F6f1ed8ce.jpg&hash=c6881b73b7da0f04e5fdca849e48725337bbe7a1)
scrape it off with the popsicle stick and put it on the paper stp now repeat this last step 100 times allowing one side to dry to a rubbers consistency before adding more silicone
(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi878.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab349%2Fanibioman%2F53c95cba.jpg&hash=33ff4c001f00e09f7a199b9edb90c45cc20e20fc)

when all sides are at an adequate thickness peel the paper and tape from the inner walls of the stp. you may find that there are thin spots in your stp you can go over these with another coat of silicone once it is dry to the point that it no longer feels tacky or smells you can use it.

end results:

well silicon is used to make a lot of things. i was in need of an stp so i made one from duct tape but it got wrinkled and distorted really quickly. the same thing happened to the one i made of packing tape. so i had used silicone caulk as caulk so i new how it worked. so i bought a tube and covered the outside of an stp with the silicone and it worked really well.

I don't need a new STP, but just wanted to let you know that I really think this is fantastic.
I am exceptionally impressed.

Anibioman, you are a f***ing GENIOUS!!! It's so simple AND it's made of silicone! To be honest, several months ago I was walking down the hardware aisle and eyeing the silicone tubes and thinking to myself, "Would this be good material to make an STP?" I guess I have that question answered for me here!  ;D Gonna have to make my own one now, seeing as the Peecock I have is stubborn (dribbles if I don't push it against me, and I have to aim it downward which is pretty inconvenient). Too bad I paid all that money for it though. The peecock makes a nice packer anyways.

I made mine out of Sculpey (modeling clay) and the tube from a pen.

It's not pretty, but it gets the job done.

And my second attempt....

The fat + sassy, haha.

I left it in the oven for a bit too long.

EDIT: Actually I think I have it now...just curious about your suggestion for silicone

Cool, man, I'm tryin' to do this but how long did it take the caulk to dry? Mine has been sitting for like a week now and still transfers to your finger if you touch it.

someone said that you should always get medical grade or food grade silicone for anything that you'll have skin contact with cause supposedly the silicone used for plumbing is not safe to use for prosthetics, stps etc.

it depends on the brand and how thick the layers are.

I'm being dragged kicking and clawing over to the stp camp. I used a (female) bathing suit as a binder the other day and it made it hell and a half to go to the bathroom. If I could have just pulled the cloth to the side and...come to think of it I guess I could have done that anyway. Wow I feel silly. I still want to end up a master of stp, though. :)

Just wanted to say very creative. I made my first STP out of a medicine spoon ... didn't work that well but now after some practice I can stand and pee without anything. I was so proud of myself and I still am

Wow, awesome  pattern. Thank you very much for sharing. I wonder whether you could also make it from one of those silicone sheets that are used for cooking - lining pans, or something a bit thicker used as a hotpad. I don't know whether it could be glued easily, but it's something to try for the guys into R&D.

The kitchen-aisle silicone would also be good for the "coffee lid" STP device, which is just a circle of plastic that you roll into a cone shape when you are ready to use it. Not as focused as this one, but another option. And very cheap.
