Title: Inside myself
Post by: Page Robles on September 22, 2011, 12:22:02 AM
Hello, first time posting so if I do anything incorrectly please excuse me!

I'm in a bit of a pickle... I find myself wondering who I am. Inside I mean. There's times were I feel completely fine being the man I was born, but then there's other times I really wish I was a the girl I feel like I am inside. I want to be treated as the woman I feel like on the inside but at the same time I like being a man. I recently turned 18, living with the folks still, single, never crossdressed before in public. Though I wore a pair of woman's undies a long time ago and felt right. Felt like it was natural... Almost like it was just something I'd normally put on.

I guess the reason I came here was to ask someone who's been in the same situation as myself. Or if someone could give me a few ways to find out what gender I feel most comfortable as.

Thanks in advanced, Page.

Hey there, welcome to Susan's!

Off the top of my head the only way to get a better idea of what gender you feel most comfortable as is to try out dressing and acting feminine more to see how it compares. Would you be able to crossdress more at home? Experiment with makeup or decorating more femininely at home? Other than that the only advice I can think of is to see if you can talk to a therapist who is experienced in transgender issues and might be able to help you sort things out.

Hi Page

Welcome to the site. No doubt Mods will post greetings soon but check the site rules.

I think the way you need to go is to talk to a therapist. I know that sounds scary and silly but it isn't. You need professionals to explore the thoughts and wants and needs.  For example I'm transgendered, I'm a woman with body defects that are being chemically and surgically corrected. There are many people here who are uncertain of their gender or slip between both genders, such as our androgyne members. Some people like to 'dress up' as many cross dressers do but do not desire to change their gender. All of these people are totally normal.  You are normal.  How far you wish to take things is were a therapist can help. Many MtF and FtM want hormonal corrections and surgical corrections. Many MtF cross dressers do not, but do want acceptance of their life style.

Here you have it.
You have the total spectrum of people. So join in

Hugs

Cindy
