I am wondering what's the cheapest someone got a rhinoplasty for? I really want one.
To be honest, you really cannot bargain shop when searching for this procedure; it's truly one of the most cosmetically risky procedures you can get. I've had two nasal surgeries, the first having disasterous effects, and the second only causing things to look equally bad. You truly cannot go to a local surgeon who has lower prices or specials; always seek out the "specialists" in your state, the ones who belong to the most official medical boards and have the most experience in both rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. While malpractice in nasal surgery is extremely, extremely common, you can reduce the chances by going with the top names.
There is the option of going to a facial feminization surgery clinic in a foreign country, and I have indeed seen some surprisingly amazing results from some of these clinics; however, most of these types of clinics call in random doctors to perform each seperate procedure, and sometimes you don't even meet the doctor who's going to be performing the rhinoplasty, not even knowing much about his history. You truly have to search the history and education of any single doctor you choose, not the clinic, but the surgeon himself. It's an extremely complex procedure, and you only want the best.
With all that being said, legitimate rhinoplasty surgeries cost around $6,000-$8,000 in the States, any surgeons charging lower than this usually are bottom-basement surgeons, and any surgeons charging higher are probably milking their patients for too much money. Dr. Speigel does rhinoplasties for FFS patients pretty often and seems to have a lot of experience with it, but I find some of his rhinoplasty results to be aesthetically questionable. Since rhinoplasty is a surgery that improves the nose in generally the same way for both men and women, a FFS specialist is not exactly required; rhinoplasty is universally designed to make a nose look more equilateral and female.
