Well gender adventurers,
Anyone who says beauty is not painful is lying through there teeth. I did half of my upper lip today (well part yesterday and part today). It looks great. Its very red and swollen and hurts like heck. The kill ratio was extremely high. I was really amazed. The rest of my face feels nothing like my upper lip. I'm finishing it first so the rest will pale by comparison in regards to pain. It looks like I was punched in the lip. For all those out there who will be starting there facial hair removal I would start with your upper lip just to get it out of the way. It take a few days for the swelling to go down. But when it does no more shaving and no more shadow!! Yipeeee. I know a lot of you like laser. I do also but on your face only electrolysis is going to fully remove the hair once and for all. Just think, putting your make-up and never having to worry about hairs sticking out ever again. I think laser for my body hair will be next. At least for arms and legs. The back and chest hair will go away with HRT.

When I had the hair removed from my upper lip area it brought tears to my eyes. I posted this information earlier this is what i did to lesson the pain. The upper lip area and around nose are the most sensitive. My electrologist had an arrangement with a near by Dentist, for a fee he would numb the area around the upper lip. It made the sessions tolerable. Another option is ask your electrologist if she knows wear to purchase Emla cream, it's a topical anesthetic, you may need prescription from a Doctor.

I know several women who've had perfect results with laser on their face - one is a member here.. With laser, there's a couple of factors to consider: the skill of the operator, the suitability of your skin/facial hair and the type of laser being used. I'm having laser to remove the dark hair, but will need some electro to clear the greys.. Where I'm going isn't exactly cheap, but the operators are all fully trained RN's and it is a full
medical-grade laser. There is a doctor on staff as well. Lower grade lasers and IPL (which isn't laser at all) will have much less successful results..
