Title: is a ffs specialist necessary?
Post by: lucaluca on October 01, 2011, 04:05:53 AM
is a ffs specialist necessary, if you don't need/want the complete change.
if you only need a rhinoplasty and a chin reduction for example. or is it till better to go to a specialist, because he knows how to treat transsexuals and change their outward appearance in the right way.

i hope you understand what i mean  :-\

No, Rhinoplasty is a common Plastic/Cosmetic procedure. FFS is  FACIAL FEMINIZATION SURGERY, difference simply put is that the bones of your face/forehead, are reshaped, including nose, jaw and chin. The results are dramatic, but for a single procedure like a Rhinoplasty, it may not produce by itself a feminine appearance/look. There are some members on this site that have had both, FFS and single procedure-Rhinoplasty,

Just wait a little bit...you'll get some "first hand" info.

most plastic and reconstructive surgeons can do the parts (of operations) that make up FFS, although the level of experience is what you're paying for in a surgeon who advertises FFS services.

Be honest about your intentions.

yes, it pays to go to a specialist, because they tend to know more about what is definitive to a womans nose or whatever else you may want done, then there are sub specialists that specialize in rhino...it is a good thing  to go through like say Allure or Cosmo and pick out side and front profiles of noses you might like to give the potential surgeon an idea of what you might  like, cause it is much better than having to explain what you may be wanting and them understanding.  You want to make sure your both on the same page. There are certain surgeons that will do everyone's nose the same and you certainly dont want that.
