Title: For those on T...
Post by: hwytoaster on October 02, 2011, 05:04:56 PM
Which kind are you on? I'm sure a lot of you have probably mentioned it before at some point, but I'd just like to see a quick snapshot of what everyone's on. From all I've read, enanthate is supposed to be the most common, but a lot of people are on the cypionate, and then there's sustanon which seems interesting and may be a better option for once you've been on it for a while, as it lasts in your system longer. I don't know though, since I'm not on anything yet, I'm just curious because I'm determined to get on it soon.

Hey, start a poll. It could be fun.

I'm on injectable T, cypionate.

Me too, cypionate. Also injectable.

What kind you're prescribed may depend on what country you're from. Around here, it seems to me Testosterone cypionate is more common. (Not sure, though, it might not be.)

I was on Sustanon (which comprises of testosterone decanoate, isocaproate, propionate and phenylpropionate) but there are currently manufacturing problems with it so for the meantime I'm on Enanthate. Both injectables.

Cypionate. Something tells me the other two aren't prescribed often in the U.S., considering the one guy not on cypionate (so far) is from the UK.

I'm on Testosterone Undecanoate aka Reandron here in Oz or Nebido elsewhere (because we have to be different!)..
Last I checked though it was not available in the US - please brothers, correct me if I'm wrong...

I'll answer for Sevan as ze doesn't often come to the FTM boards due to that entire androgyn thing...

Sevan is on Testim, which is a daily topical gel. Ze was on shots (cypionate) but the trough was too much for hir.
Recently ze tried Axiron which is also a topical but it sucked, so it is back to Testim.

Undestor-pills (until SRS)
Sustanon-injectable, for the rest of my life;) But maybe I´ll change it for Nebido in the future.
This is the most common hormone therapy for FTM guys in the Czech republic.

Started with enanthate. Switched to cypionate because it costs less.

Well, yeah, cost is a factor, since I don't have insurance. Thanks for the answers. I'll have to go read more about cypionate since that sounds like what the majority of what we get prescribed here.  :)

Primoteston equates to roughly $10 per shot. Including syringe and needle.

That's in AUD, though?

Yeah. I get pre packaged syringes.
I'm not sure what the cost of other methods are.

I was on injectable cypionate for just over a year and a half, which cost me about $85 for 5 months. Now I'm on Axiron which costs me $25 a month.
