So, I'm a little frustrated with that but I really respect my doctor for doing that. Maybe this way my dose can be a little higher if it all checks out well. Only problem is I'm out of T and my shot is due tomorrow (I screwed up a dose a couple months ago forgot to tighten the needle attachment). I had called a week or so ago but stupid me forgot to leave my number so they couldn't reach me until I mentioned it to my mom and she asked if I had remembered to leave a callback number.
Bloodwork is a little late because I lost my job but my doc knows all of this so they sent me the bloodwork script and told me to get it when I can. Gonna try to get it done in the next day or so. Just kinda a frustrated rant but I have a question too.
How long does it usually take for them to get the lab results? Next time I'll be scheduling it all in advance. Looking at it as a lesson learned. Little worried about trough though...
I had my blood drawn on Tuesday, the results were posted at my doctor's website by Thursday.
It really depends on the work load of the lab at any given time but the range can be as quick as 1 or 2 days and as long as a week. Hope you get everything straightened out soon.
When I have my blood drawn first thing in the morning, I sometimes get same-day results. It's never taken more than three days to get results, and I think that happened when I had blood drawn in the afternoon. But it varies from facility to facility.
Good luck.
Thank you everyone :) It looks like the general is at longest a week which is good news. Best case scenario would be going first thing in the morning and having it get to the doc same day plus them calling the pharmacy which is open until late and getting it tomorrow.
Arch- I was just debating going in the morning or evening because it is a walk in clinic so I think after reading your post I'll go in the morning.
Yeah, go in sooner rather than later. But be warned, a lot of clinics operate on a shoestring and do take longer. My GP is with a large and well-funded medical conglomerate that has huge, expensive facilities throughout the county.
Happened to my son a couple weeks ago ... it sucks ... sorry dude
