On Saturday, October 2nd Anna Grodzka, the first openly transgender person to take part in the Polish parliamentary elections, has declared a civil lawsuit against Tomasz Terlikowski, a right-winged publicists who has, as Grodzka put it, disrespected her and thousands of Polish transgender citizens on his video blog.
The video is a comment to an article published in "Wprost" journal. The text itself lists different candidates from the Ruch Poparcia Palikota party, focusing on known civil society workers and activists (including Grodzka) who, as the paper puts it, decided to "go into the mainstream". In his 2 minute presentation, Terlikowski states, with a reference to a "lack of religion in todays politics", that the RPP decided to put on their list "a man who removed some of his organs and decided that he was a woman".
