Matt Kailey will speak about "Engendering Acceptance: Understanding the Transgender Experience." He is the author of Just Add Hormones: An Insider's Guide to the Transsexual Experience, which was a finalist for a 2006 Lambda Literary Award, and his work has appeared in many publications, including 5280 magazine.
"Colorado has one of the oldest gender centers in the country," says Prairie UU's Rev. Jann Halloran. "Transgendered and transsexual people are everywhere, in every community, and understanding their experience is the first step toward acceptance."
