The 1997 Belgian film "Ma Vie En Rose," or "My Life in Pink," is the story of a 7-year-old child, Ludovic, who was born a boy but tells his parents he is actually a girl trapped in a boy's body.

When Ludovic learns about chromosomes, he decides that God accidentally dropped his second "X" chromosome. Ludovic believes one day God will fix his mistake and give him the other "X."

Unfortunately for Ludovic, God is probably not going to clear up this error. But as a compassionate and educated society, we can help Ludovic fix "God's mistake" by allowing him officially and legally to change his sex from the one he was given at birth to the one he feels is appropriate.
