So yeah, I've been lurking around here for a while so at the suggestion of my therapist I finally registered! I'm 22 and I've been Transgender (MtF) all my life, but now that I've moved out of my parents house and become independent with a job, I can finally do something about it. I just started therapy a month ago and am not 100% sure of how I want to proceed, but I'm looking forward to the journey, as well as talking with people who've been there!
Anyway, Hi!
Hi Zoe! (I'm sorry I can't do the dots on the e with my keyboard :P)
You definitely have a very pretty name!
Your therapist made an excellent suggestion there, you'll find lots of support here. Welcome!
Welcome Zoë!
You've come to the right place. A moderator will come shortly with the details.
Lily, You can either copy Zoë's name or go to Windows Start and enter "character map" in the find box in Win 7 or charmap in Run in XP. You'll find the various alphabet characters, some with the diacriticals on them such as the "e" with the umlaut over it (ë).

I know, but I'm a bit lazy. :P
I've been meaning to learn the alt codes for them anyway, as lately I've met a lot of people that have names with characters I don't have on my keyboard. It'll all be a lot easier to type then :)
But, back to welcoming Zoë. I don't mean to hijack the thread! ;) (I did that ë with an alt code already, because I'm cool like that!)
Hi, Zoe,
Where do U come from? Zeta Reticuli ?
Happy stay on Earth!

Earthling? Earthling?! I'll have you know that I'm a proud member of the Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars! If the Machine God wasn't demanding so much of my precious time, I would have your head!
Heh, I'm joking. Nothing like a bit of nerd humor :).
Anyway welcome! This forum is full of really nice people and has helped me a lot in figuring out how I want to progress with my journey (or start it, as the case may be). There's a lot I've learned here that I never would have known otherwise, and I've met some pretty cool people. Enjoy your stay!

If I wasn't joking, my body would be at least 50% mechanical. And unless I can't tell the difference between organic and inorganic material, I'm pretty sure that's not the case :P. What kind of Tech-Priest would I be if my body wasn't mostly machine?! ::)
And once again I prove my nerdiness. And I'm not even that into WH40k! :)

lol, I like to joke that I'm from the planet Transsexual, in the galaxy Transylvania, because RHPS is one of my favorite movies :P

To prove my nerdiness, I guess I'll have to admit to being a huge Magic: The Gathering fan.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Alright, now I have to know. Which color(s) is/are your favorite to use? :3 My favorite is White personally, though I also like using direct attacks with Red cards at times.
Uh oh, I feel the nerd tide rising! lol... I used to be a huge black fan, my first deck was a black/blue faerie deck, but once I started playing competitively, I moved to playing White and Blue almost exclusively. I've never been able to get the hang of red... I guess I'm better at playing control than crazy direct blow ups lol.
What do you think about the new Innistrad block? I love it!

Hi Zoë! I'm another M:TG nerd. Good to see our numbers on Susan's rising. ;D
Or on Windows, alt+09963 (do the numbers on the keypad).
Don't know why I know that... :icon_mrhappy:

Probably just a case of happenstance :P

I haven't tried it yet unfortunately. Haven't had the money or drive to go out and buy new cards in a while :P. The last thing I bought besides a standard 2012 deck (which had a REALLY nice angel card in it) was some stuff from New Phyrexia, but I have to admit that it's not my style at all haha. My style seems to have evolved into mass armies and gain a ton of life, at least for my pure white deck.
I don't really play competitively though, and I don't think I will in the future since whenever I read about competitions it always seems to be, "LOL Beat them in 3 turns!" It might just be me though.
Ello there.
Welcome to the boards. Over to the left is the kitchen and on the right is the lounge. Bathrooms down the hall and to the left.
Um, I have no idea what you people are talking about, but welcome to Susans, Zoe! Hugs, Tracey

I'm an Earthling, but I'm really hoping to move to Bajor once I get a spaceship with warp capabilities.
Nice to meet you Zoe,Hugs,Rachael.

I hear they've really cleaned things up since the Occupation. ;)
Zoë, I like to play blue/black or green/black.
Welcome to Susan's, Zoë! Wow, trans nerds, does it get any better?
Nerd that I am, still I only played Magic once about 15 years ago. I was playing with Wil Wheaton, tho. He helped my buy my first (and only) deck.
I have been interested in Magicka, but I believe it's too expensive of a hobby to get into if you want to do it properly (and I never half ass things in life).

If by Magicka you mean Magic: The Gathering, I've noticed it's actually relatively cheaper than most other card games I've played (Yu-Gi-Oh, for example). You can buy a single starter pack for only about $12-14 where I live, and that gives you a fully playable deck and a booster pack. Well unless you want to get REALLY into it and buy cards like some of my lame friends did. I don't care how good it is, I'm NOT spending more than $1 on a single card! Not to mention it takes the joy out of finding a really great card at random from a pack :(. At least I think so.
If you want an expensive hobby, try getting into something like the Warhammer war game. A starting pack for that game costs like $200 or so. The book alone costs about $50 or so, a single army costs about $40 (and they're unpainted), and the rulebook FOR that army costs about $20 or more! And those are just basics. If you wanted things like Heroes and other specialties, the money just flies right out of your bank account. Now THAT's an expensive hobby :P.
Yeah I meant Magic: The Gathering. I had just finished playing some Magicka with a friend hence the confusion. :P
I might at some point get into it though, when I have money to spare and friends to play it with ... which is not right now. :P
