Title: Is this true?
Post by: Argent on October 12, 2011, 03:01:36 PM
Apparantly it is possible to get a Metoidioplasty lengthened after surgery? (much like a cis gendered man getting cosmetic penis enlargement) Does anyone know is this is true or not? Thank you.

I think that if it would be possible to get a working penis that way (in a 'pack/pee/play' sort of way  :P) then you'd have heard from it and it would have been done. Some transcenters might have looked into it and would be offering it then.

But don't take me for my word, 'cause I haven't heard anything about it before. So I can't truly say.

Some guys get a phallo after a meta.  Other than that, I don't know if any lengthening procedures for a meta.  Not saying there aren't any, I just don't know about them.

No because the same procedure which is used in cis men's lengthening surgery has already been performed during the metoidioplasty.  A metoidioplasty involves severing a ligament which holds the clitoris back... thereby making it longer. The same thing is done for an XY man's dick (read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis_enlargement#Penis_enlargement_.28length.29_surgery (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis_enlargement#Penis_enlargement_.28length.29_surgery) )

Other than that, the only lengthening option they have is phalloplasty; same as us.

At least that is what I gather from a few minutes of research online.

Same thing that I would have said, 'cept he said it first.

There are online support groups for guys with small penises, some of whom are in the micro-penis range (size is similar to a meta).  One of the discussions that will come up is whether surgical lengthening, via a severed ligament or phalloplasty, is 'worth it' or not.
