Almost 500 people packed into City Hall on Tuesday night for a special meeting to decide if they would accept Susan instead of Steve as their top official.
And while many spoke eloquently in his defense, more called for his ouster.
''If Jesus was here tonight, I can guarantee you he'd want him terminated,'' said Pastor Ron Saunders of Largo's Lighthouse Baptist Church. ''Make no mistake about it.''
At the end of the 3 our meeting, the City Commission voted 5-2 to begin the legal process of firing Stanton, only a week after he was forced to reveal his secret by a local newspaper.

Someone speaking for Jesus again. Voices in the head maybe? Might want to lock him up, for the safety of the community.
they are going to fire this person for being TS? They are saying it outright with no other reason given?
I wish I had time and electricity right now so I can do some activism work on this....
silly as it sounds, do any of you have connections with aclu or similar? I mean a direct connection to a person? Think 7 degrees of separation. Think attorneys, celebrities, known activist leaders, church leaders, media... Can we get David our new member that is a Pastor to chime in on this as well?
I assume this will be ongoing for a little while so when I am back up to par with technology and finish the move I will see what strings I can pull.
Let's make some noise. I would like to contact Susan/Steve if possible. Anyone have that info?
Please see the this post (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,10820.0.html) at the top of the News items.
I believe Susan Stanton could be contacted at her work Email until she leaves office.

I misread that as "If Jesus was here tonight, I can guarantee you'd want him terminated." Which is probably closer to the truth. Where are the pastors who would say that?
I believe if Jesus was at that meeting, he would have put his arm around Susan and told her, "Take heart sister, this too shall pass."
For those Christians here who would like to drop that preacher a note or a phone call:
Pastor Ron Saunders
