One could always try the Fula look although it's a bit over the top for my tastes ;)  http://saharanvibe.blogspot.com/2007/02/wodaabe-beauty-ceremony.html (http://saharanvibe.blogspot.com/2007/02/wodaabe-beauty-ceremony.html)

I saw a documentary about it, I think. Don't the men try to impress the women like that for marriage rights or something?

Think your right, the Fulani were a nomadic people and are found throughout most West African countries. One of my dearest friends is Fulani although she's very much a city girl.

LOL...It would be fun to join in the celebration and see how I would do in the standings...lol.
The documentary was pretty entertaining, if I remember right.

Think it was a National Geographic one, if so it's somewhere out there on YouTube.

Anyway, speaking of Fulani and clothes this video is amazing. Love the bead belt and skirt combo, in fact the whole video is dress porn!

(sorry if this embeds, don't know how to stop it doing so)
