Title: NaNoWriMo anyone?
Post by: Constance on October 29, 2011, 11:35:07 AM
My older brother had tried this a couple of times, and I'm trying it this year.

This was my first year. I gave up on the third day, due to some unforeseen circumstances. Still writing, just not as much as I'd like. Good luck to the both of you!

I've got about 5000 words done, which means I'm short of my goal for this point. But with the time change giving me an extra hour, I'm hoping to get almost caught up. If I can keep going, I can do about 1200 words an hour. So, I might be able to get back on track.

That's awesome! And it's definitely doable. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines, for sure!

I'm at about 15,000 words write now, so I'm behind schedule. I might not make it, but I'm going to keep working at it anyway.

my word count things says 32,474 words so far, which isn't as good as last year as I'd surpassed the 50k on the 16th last year, but I'm taking my time, going at my own speed and letting the book write itself so I see no problem at all with the rate I'm going at this year :)

I'm at 24,645 words, so I'm behind schedule. But, I'm having fun and this is turning out to be a really good rough draft. I'll keep working on it even if I miss the date.

I haven't gotten much done this week, I'm only at 26,170 words. Life keeps getting in the way.

I've found a new apartment and have to start packing for the move.

I've agreed to make a pie and help a friend make Thanksgiving dinner.

I'm spending more time going out.

Ye Gods, I've got a life! Now, if I can just prevent that life from interfering with my solitary activities.  :D

What's this?

I write very concentrated, intense stuff sporadically.

Since my creativity usually comes in fits and spurts, NaNoWriMo is tough for me. The idea of churning out 1667 words a day for 30 days is so alien to me.

But, I'm trying and what I'm writing is shaping up to be a decent rough draft of a story that I'm actually enjoying.
