Nations around the planet celebrated the arrival of the symbolic 7 billionth child being born after midnight today.   China and India account for a third of that population growth with over a billion people each and the United States being third with 313 million. As we discuss all the complex issues inherent in that population growth, I also want to toss in another for people to ponder in the fact that some of the now 7 billion people on this planet are transgender.

lol, even as a trans person; when I read this article I was much less concerned about the conditions that trans people live with, and much more concerned with the fact that there are seven billion people on this earth.

I think overpopulation should be of much greater concern than the fact that trans folk are treated unfairly, especially considering the rate at which population is increasing

I agree with you wholeheartedly. It isn't really fit tho put the attention towards transgenders on the subject of overpopulation.
This Earth is too crowded and each year we consume more than the Earth can replenish in the same time. This could turn out very nasty in the end.
Most of humanity's other global problems such as scarse resources, pullution and an unfair distribution of goods can be traced to this issue.
Either we solve this problem or nature does. I don't want to stick around when the latter happens.

I can't wait for nature to solve it.

Armageddon will be the greatest event in history; the climax of the story.

I can't wait to dance in the light of the apocalyptic fire

Sorry to rain on yer parade but unless you are going to be alive in about 250 years you are likely to miss natures eradication of man.

To many resourses still in play at this time.

Well, unless someone decides to drop the bomb and make it end quicker.
